Raid Failure

So I have a raid 0 that has been corrupting all over the place. I've taken all I want off of it, and pulled the drives out of the machine. I'm now reformatting my drives on another machine. I'm wondering how I tell which was the bad hard drive. I'm assuming that one of the drives is the problem instead of the controlling card. Perhaps foolishly. Anyway, are there some good utilities for free download or perhaps within windows to tell me if a drive is good or not?

You have been hit by one of the main problems of RAID 0. If either drive goes bad - you lose everything on both drives.
If you are reformatting each drive, then that will be your first chance to check it out. WEvery drive OEM has some sort of downloadable drive test. Most drives can be tested with the IBM/Hitachi Drive Fitness Test (DFT.)

If both drives test OK - then the problem points more to the RAID controller.

Next time, use RAID 1 if you can. RAID 0 is a loser.

I'm running a western digital drive tester, and one drive passed already. I'm gonna try the next one, and hopefully it's bad, or else it's gonna be my controlling card, and it's on the mboard, so I'll have to buy a new sata controller. Bummer. And yes, I'm not using raid 0 again. It was on my friend's machine, but he doesn't really need the extra storage anymore. Anyhoo, thx.
