I have an Iwill Side Raid66 PCI card, with two different manufacturer's hard drives (similar speeds and cache, 7200 and 2mb cache). The problem is when I access the Raid0 Array, my music slows down (mp3), so I'm thinking it might be too CPU-intensive whenever I used the controller card. I tried putting my swap file on the array and when ever it was accessed, my music began to stutterstep and slow down, then returned to normal. But the odd thing is, it doesn;t really slow my computer down, because it's actually faster with array, especially in Adobe Premiere, but it's the music that's constanly messing up. Do I have a bad card? Or is there any driver out there that could help this out? I have driver version 1.7.1 or whatever (the latest one I could find, which was released on April25, 2000)
