Thanks, needed a budget case.

EDIT for a cautionary note: Rebates go to Walnut California, RebateCenterInc.com. Inquiries to rebate @ raidmax.com. Looks like in-house rebate processing.
Also, 80 mm rear exhaust.

$20 AR Vortex case looks a little better, for a little more (bottom PSU mount, 120mm radiator mount). http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811156317

(Logged on to put up a thread for the EVGA PSU deal, which seems decent for $15 AR).

The more I think about this case, the more I like it.

The Green color makes it so enticing to use for a Linux Mint theme build:

If I could get these for $15 no rebate, I'd order several. But with the rebate? Bah, ordering none.

It's a good deal for those people that don't mind jumping through hoops, though, which is why I posted it.

The case Replay linked in post #3 of this thread has a green version (not on sale though) and the case I linked here has a green LED fan.

And there are other cases listed at Newegg that are green (or have a green option).

But the following case, I think might be the best one I have found so far for a Linux Mint theme build:

I used to get excited over any cheaper cases, but I'll never buy another old-school (PSU on top, front-to-back HD cages) case. I'm surprised they still design them like that (I say that because this has USB 3.0, which means it has no excuse for the old school design).

Might be good for grandma's computer, but then again, she can probably get by with a 10 year old Dell refurb.

Thanks OP. I needed a case for my job were I brought in my own PC parts and threw it in an old beige case from 2005. The company won't balk at %15 bucks!

Come on now - a couple registration form clicks and mail in the UPC
those hoops weren't that big

Went for the $10 EVGA 430W P/S - free shipping for premiere

If you include the free $20 rebate card
you are also saving the usual $5 gift card activation charge too

people are still jaded and think that most rebates don't come in.. I have been doing rebates for 11 years and have yet to not get one back.

Most likely the OP is hesitating to buy the Raidmax case with a rebate, and not the EVGA PSU mentioned elsewhere in the thread. Done allot of rebates. EVGA has been fine. Decided after some research to skip the Raidmax rebate deals.

Not just that. I like to order multiples, and the rebates are only good on one. Plus, I dislike filling them out. The only rebates I really do (and not very often) are Staples' Easy Rebates, which just require filling out a web form, and not mailing anything in.

OK, my case just came in. Even tho its 15 bucks, this is the cheapest made case I have ever touched in my life. It weighs like 1/2 a pound. I put in an old P35 mobo and quad core 9500 and was almost afraid to turn it on! Anyway, it works ok. I just feel that if I move it it will collapse!

I received the Raidmax Mini-ITX case today:

Very nice exterior. Looks better in person than the picture above suggests.

P.S. This case also shares the same basic chassis as the DIYPC HTPC Cube (in addition to Rajintek Metis)

Nice looking mini ITX case. Price went up to $30 + $6 shipping, after the $30 rebate. Looks really tight, but well thought out.

Exhaust blows down and out, and it can use a regular ATX size power supply. So I've passed along some bad info, from one of those user reviews, where someone complained that the psu blew the hot exhaust air into the case.

Yes, and in this review (of the Raijintek Metis), they noted better cooling performance with the 120mm fan used as a intake rather than a exhaust.
