The Buttkicker was placed in a box slightly bigger than than the product (i.e. it didn't fit in the box it was shipped in). They bent over the flaps of the box and placed a piece of cardboard to cover what the flaps did not. Obviously there was no packing material whatsoever (because there was no room for any). Needless to say, when I removed it from the box, it did not look new. It looked like someone had it before me. Well, to make a long story short, it did not work. Now I have to pay to have it shipped back (it costed me $24.99 to have it shipped to me). I was more than a little pissed.

I bought the same thing from Amazon for $10 more with two day UPS shipping. It arrived in a clean box. The product "looked" brand new- no dents. It had those clear circle-tape things (like what they use to seal games)- the one from GoGamer did not (which makes me think it was a return they passed on to me as new). You wouldn't expect such crappy packaging from an established company. I'm shipping it back in the same damn box in which they shipped it to me (I bet they'll have a problem with it). Unbelievable.

I've ordered many games from Gogamer with never an issue. IMO, they have the best deals around which is nice since Gamestop and company has forced used/trade-ins on PC games out of the market and tried fixing prices. Remember when you could actually find a bunch of pre-played 3-year old games for a good price?

In regards to R6 Vegas, this game is really incredible. I picked this game up for $50, but it was well worth the money. I'm not really a tactical fan, nor am I often wowed by graphics. This game had me on the edge of my seat for a good 10 hours+ and I'm just getting started on multi-player. The gameplay kind of reminds me of FEAR. After having finished GOW, Prey, COD3 in less than 6 hours each, it's really nice to play a single-player game that has a good length as well as gameplay and AI. I've also had no technical issue with this game which is unfortunately uncommon nowadays. The only issue is the widescreen support. While 1600x1200 looks ok on my 24" Dell, it could look much better at 1900x1200. I shouldn't have to mod a game to get widescreen a this point... WTH?.

If you have the PC muscle (yes, this game is a system hog), the graphics are absolutely sick - better than anything I've seen on any system so far, GOW, Oblivion, COH included. I'm running a CD2 3.4ghw/2x 8800gtx sli, so I'm not sure how it scales on mid-low end systems.

And yes, this game is an absolute system hog. If you don't have a near top-of-the-line system, don't even try. 512MB of memory will not run this game properly (you'll be lagging quite possibly 100% of the time with FPS no higher than 2?). This game took some .ini editing to even run smoothly on mine...

agree with it all..gogamer.com is great..i only buy games from them..screw eb/gamestop.

And this game is amazing. I normally cant stand the rainbox six type games, but i cant stop playing this one. How much flexability there is in the game...rappel(sp?) down walls, drop on ropes, take cover behind stuff, peek around walls, fire around walls without sticking your head out, ai that uses grenades/flashbangs accurately...its just what i've been wanting for in a pc game, for a long time. If you just run out there guns blazing..you die.

my comp is core2 e6600, ati 1950xt, 2gig of ram, and the game runs just fine at 1400x875, i think i have it set at. I did drop the shadow quality down alittle, not really a noticable change to the graphics, and it doesnt cause a drop in fps in big firefights..and i mean some BIG firefights(me+2 squadmates, against like 10 ai)...cant wait to do co-op with my friends...once they upgrade their pos computers

sidenote-this is the first pc game to use the unreal 3 engine..so if you cant run this good, might want to think about those upgrades for the next line of games like ut2k7

Totally false. This was a terrible port to the PC. It does not support AA, Has terrible frame-rates on just about any computer. You will have to turn the settings down to really enjoy this game. This is not an example of what UT2K7 will be like. Wait for a NON-PORT PC game to be based on the Unreal 3 engine before you make a upgrade purchase.

Anyway, great price OP. Thanks.

Great game, but I imagine I would LOLLER at it if I had it for X360 also.
I have a 7900 GT, have to lower res or shadows cnsiderably to have 20+ fps.
And yes, like GRAW, AA is not possible and that is QUITE annoying. Port. B-

GoGamer is great, never a problem. I have always received my 48HR Madness
purchases very fast and as stated NIB. This one is PC DVD-ROM in a hard case.
"Manufactured in Australia." Excellent deal.

lol, plus the xbox 360 version is already bugtastic enough...the PC version actually manages to be buggier-which is quite the feat.

It's also mostly optimized to run on (unsurprisingly) the Xbox 360's ATI hardware, so the best thing to run this on is a x1950xtx or something like that.

Well, that or an 8800gtx, lol.

Seriously, I've seen the benchmarks for the PC version and it's basically a joke, even the newest hardware would have to run it at 1024x768 to be playable. If you don't have either the x19xx series or an 8800 series card, you're basically out of luck because it'll be unplayable. And I hope you have a fast CPU too, since the game was made for the triple cores of the 360.

Still, it makes me feel good that the 360 actually manages to push some decent power with this game, even if GoW looks better =)

Surprisingly I think I'm finally getting the hang of playing an FPS on a console...the control on the 360 version of Vegas is actually acceptable-too bad my vegas won't load past the first stage because my xbox 360 needs to be exchanged for a non broken one.

Not true. It just means the default NVIDIA SLI profile doesn't work with it if it doesn't run in SLI mode.

Check this out: http://forums.slizone.com/index.php?s=c...showtopic=608&pid=3393&st=0&#entry3393

Also, if you don't have it already. Try using nHancer to create your own custom SLI profile: http://www.nhancer.com/

Each new game that comes out that doesn't work with the default SLI profile has to have an SLI profile added in the next driver release. Or you can add your own. Good luck. Cheers.

I finally got this game to run pretty smoothly (30-40 FPS I'd judge) after tweaking .ini files as well as downloading NV's coolbits to decrease the MaxFramesToRenderAhead from 3 to 1.

This game is awesome.

As said, it is a system hog. My Opty 146 @ 2.4GHZ, 1.5gb RAM, 7800GT runs it decent at just 1024x768, mid to low details. There's a lot of tweaks you can do, check out the official forums. I haven't tried them all. You can turn off all the blur, but I don't like the way that looks. Appearantly not all in-game options really work, so you have to edit the .ini file. But with some tweaking I'll have it running smoother or with a higher res. I need to try the MaxFramesToRenderAhead tweak.

In case people haven't seen, but the linked SM2 hack does not work, as reported by SM2 owners. So you're out of luck for now, may as well sell the game while you can get a good price for it if you unfortunately have bought it (but the requirements for SM3 are shown). Might change in the future, who knows.

Otherwise, this game is AWESOME!! Kickass price. I know its a pretty bad port, system hog, etc, but this is a killer game. Not as tactical as previous games, so some of you who want a more straight forward FPS might want to try. The teammate control is very simple. I have my 4 arrow keys for movement, and that is all I need. Very easy to execute various assaults silently, with force, through multiple doors, etc. Probably one of the things that make this game great is how easy it is to coordinate with the team. AI for friendly and baddies is good. The only "planning" stage is you get to select equipment between missions or at some supply locations in-game.

Unfortunately no demo has been or likely will be released, but at this price.. if you like somewhat tactical FPS games (even though this is not as tactical as the older RB6 games, you can still play it like that) or just want something awesome, have the system, BUY THIS!!

edit: Lastly, the WSGF fix (they are modified config files) did NOT work for me. I tried 960x600 and the 1280x800 one. I added those as custom resolutions in my Nvidia Control Panel, but the game starts up as 1280x1024 with either of those configs. Otherwise, I guess those posted fixes are suppose to work. I probably will get it working. Because they are proper fixes... and adjust FOV correctly, so you get Hor+.

People on Rainbow Six Vegas forums have also found that XP 64-bit seems to get better frame rates than 32-bit. I'm going to test that once I beat the single player and get back to my dorm.

Actually...i run it nicely at a full 30-40fps on a C2D E6400/2GB DDR800/7600GT KO

My friend runs a good 30-35fps on a 3800X2/1GB 3200/7600GT KO

What settings? I only get 35-40fps @ 1280x960 with settings on high on an 8800gts.
