then what is stopping you?

There are so many good games coming out right now for the 360 it's hard to find time to play them all

I already have an Xbox with more games than time to play them. Secondly, I really want to wait for the inevitable die shrink for better temps.

Um what do you mean it just cuts off... what do you think is going on in Las vegas.. dont you listen to the briefings?

Would you rather the game be 5 mins long? what exactly was wrong with mexico that you dont like? it wasnt just a tutorial map it was 1/3 of the story, setting up the rest of the entire game..
I liked it was a good level. and the games story is way better than that over rated POS GoW.

and as for your glitch they dont reset to thier original positions as they are roaming AI... they dont just sit in 1 place they moev around.. play some terrorist hunt and you will know that they move and are totally random.

Okay, first off... watch out for spoilers. I avoided being specific to not spoil the story for people who come in here reading to see if this game is worth getting.

*POSSIBLE SPOILERS AHEAD*

Okay, obviously my complaint went over your head. the San Jose Port map was practically Mario with guns. You get to the end and "Oh no, the princess (your team) is in another castle (location)!" Greaaaat, you just spend 2 hours going through a boring mission listening to dumb NPCs yell obscenities at you in Spanish (and oh boy, they swear quite often ), probably dying enough to turn 2 hours into 4 hours.

Let me lay out this mission for you to show you why it's simply too long:
1) Get to Team Rendezvous Point
2) Fend off Terrorist Assault
3) Save Hostages
4) Find Irene
5) Find Your Team
6) Find Your Team
7) Get to and Clear Extraction Point

SEVEN objectives, each one requiring an entirely new area of the map. Some of these were quick to finish, some required a good traversal of the map and a nice 30 minutes to complete. Obviously if you don't complain about this, you've never played the original Rainbow Six games enough. I don't remember a single mission that was EVER that long.

Also, what the hell was with all the hard tango placements!? They give you a hallway to get into a rectangular room with 2 guys on each side... wow, that room took almost 20 minutes to clear because of how much inching and testing and dying (dying just perpetuated the 20 minutes each time) it took to find the right spot to just nick the guys enough to kill them. If you walked out too far, you were mowed down by multiple tangos. Not to mention how you were only given a pistol earlier in the map and by that point you were stuck with a pistol and a shotgun... frags would've made that room 10x easier!

I'd rather it be broken up. You may've enjoyed staying in the same god-forbidden town for 2 hours, but guess what... I didn't! Especially for a lousy 30 Gamerscore Achievement? Also, the fact that if you ever died... you had to restart from your last savepoint. Well, that sucked quite a bit compared to the original rainbow games that gave you not 1 person... not 3 people but SIXTEEN people. If one person died, you went to the next person in that team. You had SIXTEEN lives before you had to restart the mission. Note that these missions were about as long as the time between objectives in the Mexico stage.

Uhh, no... they reset back to where they came from, I checked. Also, your understanding of the enemy AI is extremely flawed. Enemies either have one of two AI's... cover or engaging. Tangos that are in the cover AI rarely will ever move from their spot... maybe they'll shift to another cover near you, but it's not extremely common. Engaging tangos will attempt to come up and kill you. Engaging tangos are usually only common in larger rooms and are usually accompanied by Cover tangos.

Also, tangos do not just "free roam." You can watch tangos in the missions and see that they all walk in predefined paths. Hell, they're so predefined, I sat there playing the duck game with one guy on a high walkway. I shot in front of him, he turned and walked the other way... shot in front of him again, he turned and walked the other way. It was kinda fun. Also, I've been able to watch guys, move my cursor to where I saw them and pick them off as they walk BACK through their PREDEFINED path.

If you think the missions are too long youre gonna hate the rest of the game.. thats the fastest mission in the game.. they get harder and longer from that...
as for the AI you havent played terrorist hunt.. they are very random its never the same 2x...

if you like the old game so much go play the old game.. this game is 500% better than any of the previous POS R6s.. this game is closer to swat 4..

which is a major impreovement.

Well that's nice, you've formed an opinion... guess what, I don't have to agree with it. I like the originals better so far. And if you're saying they just copied some other game, then how is that better? The game ends up being a mish-mosh of ideas instead of something more original like it used to be.

As long as they don't stick me with a single damn pistol and strip my team from me, I'm good. That just made it horrid. A lot of the rooms that were just unfun would've been so much better with a smoke grenade or a frag grenade.

The reviews and this thread speak for me.. everyone of them said it was better than the original R6s.. they changed the formula and now they have a runaway hit..

that tells you there was somethign wrong with the old game.. it was staleand required way to much non fun actions in the planning menu
now you plan on the fly and your team is attached as they should be..
closer to Ghost Recon style which always was a better game on PC as well.

cry moer about the pistol.. it takes 2 seconds to get another gun back.. put on your silencer and kill the first 2 guys.. instant shotgun and ammo.
then just pick up what you need.. the entire level took me less than 30 mins..

Can't wait for RB6 Vegas for the PC!! I hope it's a decently done port.

I guess when the devs were making RB6 LV, 24 was a big inspiration for them. So that automatically makes it awesome. I'm not sure how much 24-ish stuff is actually in the game, but I thought I remember reading that it was sorta real-time mission based like 24 eps are.

Hmm, a buddy of mine just bought a 360 (the only other friend with a 360 just had his crap out, weird), wonder if he'd be up for it if I rented the game.

I had a lot of fun with the old RB6 games, even if the tactical and planning got a little tedious, because it was cool to play a different kind of shooter.

Damn I want this for the PC! As long as they don't fvck it up with a crappy port this could be the game to break me away from BF2.

More opinions, guess what... my opinion may not be the same. Get it through your head. Also, there's nothing that makes your opinion better than mine. Also, there's nothing that says I don't like the game overall... do I think it's some perfect game... no.

There was nothing wrong with the old games. The only real differences are the removal of the briefing/setup windows, drop from 16 people max to 3 people max. Also, the game looks better... which everyone says graphics doesn't matter, right? Like I said, you didn't even need to plan more than setting up your equipment, which you ALSO do in Vegas. Also, I've played Ghost Recon, and I thought it was garbage. Yet again, that's my opinion!

Every pistol that I've used doesn't even have a silencer available, not to mention the terrorists took all of your items but your pistol. Also, the shotgun fails in long-range fighting and tends to make you more prone to getting hit trying to get in range. Once I got the assault rifle, things got a little bit better. Personally, the weapon I always used in R6 was the UMP45 with a scope on it.

Oh and congrats that you're such a "gaming god." Yet with that, you also have the horrible greater-than-thou attitude that comes with such "demigod status." I'll tell you now, you won't get another response from me until you drop your horrible attitude.

I just recently bought a 360 and started off with GoW. The graphics and gameplay amazed me, and the mutiplayer was fun. The only annoying part is waiting for people to join your ranked match. I purchased R6:V after that and found the aiming wasn't as smooth as GoW, but soon got used to it after increasing the sensitivity to 9. I overaim sometimes still, but that's the drawback of using a gamepad. The multiplayer options for R6:V kicks the crap outta GoW, and its defintiely more fun. 7v7 is better than 4v4, and I don't have to wait to fill the room because people can easily join your server and you don't have to wait for people after each match.

Add me in if you want to play R6:V or GoW. My gamertag is Pink Areola

um there you go owning yourself once again? do you even know how to play this game?
did you even bother to read the directions?

every pistol and every wep you can choose to carry as a R6 op has a silencer in the interface.
this section was very easy.. its close in combat and a shotty with slugs works fine.

maybe you should do like everyone else and remind yourself THIS ISNT R6 anymore... Vegas is a totally new spin on R6.

its VERY much easier to use now.. and very much a superior game to the old R6 garbage.

if you would take the 2 freaking seconds to RTFM you could be a gaming god too..
fvckign retard.

Uhh yeah, I play the game just fine. Here you go with your condescending attitude once more. You've shown it in other threads as well. SO BACK OFF.

If I remember correctly, I only saw the option for silencers for the Assault Rifles. It's been awhile, so I may not remember the times when I simply chose the pistol that I prefer (as it only takes a second).

Yeah, you also tend to die after 1 to 2 shotgun blasts to the face. Give me a PC, and I wouldn't have a problem, but I suck at aiming with a joystick. It's too bad the PC version is such a horrible port.

Quite simple answer for this, don't call it Rainbow Six. You said it yourself, it's not R6 anymore.

How is this much easier? The old Rainbow Six was just as easy...

Yeah, because reading the manual automatically helps you aim using a joysitck better. Get off your pedistal as I won't put up with your condescending attitude toward me or other members anymore. You don't like my opinion, fine, guess what... I don't give a damn. I don't lose sleep over it.

I find myself playing R6V more than GoW. I like the tactical stuff, and realism since i'm a CS/BF2 kinda player. It's too bad the mutliplayer graphics are not nearly as nice as the single because the game looks like CS grafx.

I didn't really dig the demo from Vegas on my 360... I found it boring, the graphics were nowhere near that of GoW... I dunno, personal preference I guess.

Gears of war was way to short. Also, limited numbers online. Never played vegas, but gears was definetly way to short.
