I read from somewhere (can't remember) sometime ago, it says cards on PCI slots will stop working if its frequency deviates like a few megahertz (i guess the deviation is caused by changes in FSB) , true ?
and to answer your question it depends on the kind of motherboard u have and the bios settings. I believe u can severly damage pci and agp cards if you deviate too strongly from the norm. Hence its best just to lock agp and pci
