What kind of a case is it? Why 3"? What dimensions?
And, what material you looking for, wood, metal, plastic, is this on a solid surface or carpet or something else?

I got a couple of adjustable beige plastic ones that lift my boxes an inch off the ground from 15 years ago. LOL. That aluminum one looks promising.

I will simply pronounce the responses of our colleagues as "good."

Most cases have rubber feet that screw on with 6-32 machine screws -- standard fasteners for computer hardware since God-knows-when.

1) Buy some 2"x12"x1/4" aluminum bars from a metal-shop -- two per case. Trim the bars to the exact width of the case.
2) Go to Sears and buy a $10 (had been $5 last I looked) thread-tapping kit for 6-32 screws (or other if you plan and choose).
3) Order $20-worth of double-caster wheels from Lawless Hardware. I like the double casters with brakes, and $15 to $20 buys you a set of four with the square attachment plate and four holes for machine screws.
4) Create the threaded 6-32 holes -- four on each end of a single aluminum bar -- with the Sears kit.

5) Drill two holes in each bar matching the attachment holes for the case's rubber feet. You'll need to have some 6-32 screws of maybe 3/4" to 1" length. The two holes should be just wide enough to slip the screws through without threading the holes.

6) Screw the two assemblies onto your case-bottom, and "Voila!" 3"-dia casters will give you more than 3" clearance under the case; 2" or 2.5" will still offer about 3" clearance.

And -- you can tow your computer around like a wagon whenever you need to do it.

I just put my case on 4 hockey pucks to give my PSU some room to breath through the bottom vent. Also quieter the pucks dampen vibration from fans.
