Raite AVBravo DVD?

Has anyone ever heard of or have any opinion about a Raite DVD drive. I'm considering buying the Raite AVBravo 108 (8x) bare drive. Any advice, warnings, or endorsements?

I've owned their Stand-alone DVD player (711 I think was the model)... it played MP3s fine... but sucked at playing movies, which was pretty compelling considering it was supposed to be a DVD player. The audio would skip and video would jerk, I took it back

Thanks for the warning. Since that is the only information I could find about them ANYWHERE, I'll steer clear.
