RAM came back to life?

Hey I had Samsung PC333 DDR Ram that died on me almost 8 months ago. I tested it on many systems and it was dead each time when it first happend. So before throwing it out 4 weeks ago, I decided to test it on my system one more time and lo and behold it works! How is this possible? My system has been stable with this RAM ever since. What happend?

I don't think anyone here can answer this. Without trying to insult you , the most common explanation would be that the problem wasn't ram related to begin with or that it wasn't properly seated when you tried to reinstall it in other machines.

How many systems is "many" ?

If it works, the RAM was never "broke".

It's the weirdest thing though and I'm just trying to see what could have fixed it. Perhaps being a in a package, in a cold garage, "revived" it? I know it sounds silly but batteries can be used a little extra longer if stored in cold areas. The RAM was tested on 3 desktop systems and in a PC hardware store with a special device that said it's dead.

Any idea what this special device was called? I've never heard of one, but if they exist i would love to have one

There is such a thing as hardware ram testers. Very expensive.

you were blessed with the living dead's RAM. Awesome. jk. I ono man, the RAM might've never been dead in the first place. Could've just been incompatible with that system you were using before.
