Hi,
I am pretty much set on getting the GA-P35-DS3L, because I'm not planning on doing any SLI/CF and I don't think I'll need the RAID that comes with GA-P35-DS3R, and I've been reading good reviews on the P35-DS3L (comments?)
So I was looking at RAMs and I had read somewhere that some mobos might be incompatible with certain brands of RAM. I looked up giga-byte.com and got a list of "compatible RAM" for the P35-DS3L: http://www.giga-byte.com/FileL...ry_ga-p35-ds3l_2.0.pdf
However, the list seems pretty outdated (?) Was trying to match it with RAMs on sale at newegg and it appears that many of the RAMs currently on sale aren't on the list.
I was just wondering how much I should be concerned with RAM-mobo compatibility, and whether some of you guys could tell me what RAMs you're using with the DS3L that work fine. I'm looking at DDR2 either 1066 or 800, and was thinking of either Kingston/Corsair/Crucial (recommendations?)
Thanks. This is my first build so... please pardon my severe lack of knowledge...
