RAM overclocking question

I was checking out my mobo and found out that it has jumper settings to determine the bus speed of the system. I can set it up to 115mhz. The mobo is a gigabyte ga7ixe.

I was wondering if I overclock my ram, currently 640mb PC-100 micron memory, if there would be any problems. How far should I be able to over clock this RAM? Also how much speed(processor wise) will I gain?

Current CPU is Athlon 900.

its possible, it depends on the ram how high it can go.
You could try it and if its unstable just go back to PC100

if you have a 900mhz processor running at 100 (9 x 100 = 900mhz) and you overclock it to 115, it will be (9 x 115 = 1035).

Hard to say if it will overclock that much or not, only one way to try and that is do it!
