Will a stick of Generic 256mb 133mhz SDRAM do
Cas-2 at about 120mhz?

It's not a question of whether it will DO CAS2, it's a question of whether it IS CAS2. The CAS specification of the memory is something that is built in to the memory chips and not something you can change. Generic RAM generally are CAS3 though.

As for the 120 MHz, yes, it can do that since it's rated at 133 MHz.

claw, you most certainly can change the CAS setting. However, CAS makes very little difference. Most people will drop CAS 2 PC100 down to CAS 3 in order to hit 133FSB. Better performance gain from that.

The timings are set in that small serial EPROM on the DIMM. If your BIOS permits, you can override the defaults set in that EPROM.
