For the first time in a while I'm actually excited about RC5 again!
I'm coming up on some milestones in placement and blocks which will forever keep my place toward the top of the team. No, I'll never match the true giants of the team in the top20 - but as of this writing I'm holding 35th place overall at Mika's - 111th overall for the team (WILL make the top 100 WOOHOO!!!) and 2,881st place in the entire project - out of what, like 200,000+ people? That's not terrible. Though not 'official' by dnet, I've recently broken the 3 MILLION block milestone (and I realize that to at least 100 of you that's nothing) but to me, well, it's over three million friggen blocks
Also, I can really see an end to this now.. even with TA RC5 participation kind of stale, the days are clicking down and there's a finish line within our field of vision. Our team and individual standings will (before too long) be final, so get those blocks in kids
But seriously.. This team, project and experience (minus Georgia of course) have been pretty sweet.. and as we take the last few laps...
I'm on the team that will likely finish in SECOND out of thousands.. Not bad.. Heck, even if they lost the stupid key, there are SO many people doing this project, from all over the world. That's pretty neat because when large groups of people do something as one, history is made my friends. No, we won't have stars on the walk of fame and it's not very likely even ONE more person will remember who I am because of this, but EVERY participant on the TA RC5 team will have "placed" at something else in life for doing virtually nothing. How cool is that? Install a piece of software and leave it alone and you get your name etched in ASCII text forever.. (someone's gotta keep a record of the final standings, right?).
Thanks TeAm, for sharing your crackables with me.. Let's end this thing in style
