Read any Rambus thread, most people use the term Intel and Rambus interchangably.. thats all I am complaining about..
And fairly so, people are saying ?Intel and Rambus?, Intel has a vested Interest in Rambus making it big in today?s market (look at the Intel Rambus contract and you?ll understand why), and that?s where you make the Intel = Rambus connection. One example it the fact Willamette will only support Rambus/RIMMs (Intel pushing Rambus) initially as speculated. I thought we all knew this? But I have not seen anyone say Intel owns Rambus, they would be misinformed to do so.
Rambus DOES NOT = Intel.
Rambus MAKES MONEY = Intel will make money too, and lots of it! Get the picture?
i own 85% of my house, the bank owns the other 15%...i'm tired of people calling it my house...damnit, start calling it the banks house!
LOL?though remember, if you don?t pay back that 15% it will be their house.
Intel also has a $200 Million investment in Infineon (makes DDR memory)...I'm sure they'll want them to do good also.
We all know Rambus needs all the help they can get, if they were to flop, this insures Intel has something to fall back on, something much more customary to the consumer and above average Joe.
