What have you got against Dave? He works at 3dfx, BIG DEAL, Get over it!!! He's a knowledgeable (sp?) person and his posts are informative and helpful, unlike yours. Your just trying to start a flame war and if you are a Nvidea Engineer, you are not giving very good publicity about their engineers.

This is the issue i tried to point out, everyone thinks that Dave is always right and truthful, if he was, then nVidia would just pack up their stuff and leave, no one can compete with what Dave says that 3Dfx is going to do.

Not everyone thinks Dave is right, besides, how would you know. You yourself said that you are "very new" here. Lurking on the boards for 5 minutes isn't going to tell you that. And before you say something, just because I recently signed up, doesn't mean I haven't been browsing the boards for a while....(in fact, I still remember Anandtech in the good ol' days, with the frame on the left hand side of the screen and the SUPER slow server )

And for the rest of you so eager to flame, just think about it, what makes you think you know anything about anything, so you have owned a few video cards have you, and you didn't like the nVidia cards.... Get over it

Josh, I think you need to 'get over it'. You say your a nVidia engineer, yet you can't (don't?) prove it. No-one will believe if you don't prove yourself, instead, we'll just think your a little 13 year, getting your jollies off by posting on Anandtech.....GROW UP!!!!!!!!!!!

Guy Under The Bridge was a a pro-Intel guy who used to be around here a while back...he was the epitome of the hardware zealot. While we all have our favorite companies, GUTB would declare everything that Intel did glorious, and everything AMD pitiful (kind of like Hardware, except he made sense :Q). GUTB was eventually banned when he started crapping on threads (someone would ask what the best Athlon motherboard was, and GUTB would be the first to reply by saying everything AMD was horrible).

He still trolls the Firingsquad news message board if you want to see examples of his work.

Josh is NOT an nvidia employee... if he is he's probably the janitor. What's the repercussion if you prove you're an nvidia engineer? You think the 3dfx zealots are going to bomb your house? If anything, proving you are will give you A LOT of credibility in these forums... and there's enough Nvidia users here who would love somebody to help defend them technically.

I think it's safe to say that Josh is not a nVidia engineer, or an engineer at all for that matter.

An engineer would be able to write better than that, for sure. What was he trying to prove anyway? He just seemed against Dave for some reason. I've read numerous posts by Dave, and I have no problem at all with him, looks like a good member of AT to me.

actually, after that whole fiasco with people having heart to hearts because of DaveB3D's messages, people have been really good at just ignoring the biased part of his posts. I try to get to the heart of things when I talk with him.. however I'm not an nVidiot, so I suppose it's alot harder for you guys to do the same..

This post does bring up an interesting thought. Occasionally people from many different companies post on this and other boards over the net. Seen posts from Intel employees, AMD, 3dfx, Matrox, ABIT, gaming companies, etc. but I can't remember a post from an nvidia employee on any boards. Wonder if there is some law at nvidia that prevents posting on public forums? You know darn well employees at most all hardware companies read this and other forums.
