RAMs won't post in blue slots

Hey guys, I can't figure out my problem with my motherboard.

MSI X79A GD65 (8D)
RAMs are Crucial 8GB KIT DDR3 1600MHz CL8 Ballistix Tactical LP 1.35V

problem is, mobo won't post (code 60) in no other slots then black ones at left side.

I tried few bios versions, endless counts of reseting CMOS. Pull out and plug in CPU. I tried all slots with one RAM and two but this those left black one are only working.

Also, my HD6850 runs only at PCI-E 1X 1.1 and no, its not idle mode, I tried get load on it, nothing changes. Other one PCIE slot won't post - code dE.

Any ideas? Thanks

How many sticks of RAM are you using? do you get the POST failure when you have all the black slots populated? If you read your motherboard manual you should find a list of valid RAM configurations and error codes.

Well, I fixed tho whole RAM issue. But PCIE problem just persists.

His problem and solution were in the owner's manual for that board. In it, he would have found, if he were smart and had read the thing prior to trying to assemble the computer, that MSI states that the first stick of RAM has to be put into DIMM slot #1, the first black colored slot, located far left on the board, just like the OP said.

And it appears the OP finally RTFM and found out the memory has to be placed in the black slots, left side first.

Amazing what the manual will tell you.
