I just finished building a new computer and i'm having a problem. Here are the specs:
Asus A7V-133 KT133A
AMD T-Bird 1.4GHz 266FSB
256 MB PC-133 SDRAM
Maxtor 30 GB 7200 RPM HDD
NEC CD-ROM
Iomega CD-RW 12x4x32
Floppy Drive
My problem is whenever I try to set the BIOS settings so the memory is 133MHz and whatever's above it (sorry i forget..but it has to do with the processor) is set to 133MHz too, the computer crashes whenever I try to do anything. Everything has illegal operations. Right now I have the memory set to 100MHz even though it's PC 133 and the other setting (the processor one) to 100 MHz, making the processor 1050 MHz instead of 1400MHz that's it supposed to be when its set to 133 MHz. (is this making any sense...i hope so!) anyway, is there a reason for this cuz i'd like to run the memory and processor at the speed i paid for. I'm running Win 98. Thanks a lot for the help!!
