Hello.
Thanks for looking at my thread. The machine that we are talking about here is the machine in my sig. I also have a machine that I can test parts with consisting of 1gb mushkin lvl2 black, radeon 9600 pro, p4c800 deluxe, 3.0Cghz p4, etc.
So I am surfing the net about an hour ago @ 3.6ghz stock voltage (prime, everything stable, had just lanned through the night with it @ 3.9ghz). And all the sudden, my damn machine bluscreens for a split second (not long enough to read) and then reboots. And won't go into windows. It gets to the point where it finishes the Windows loading screen, the cd drives spin up, and right when it should go to the login screen, the screen goes black, it stays there for about 15sec, the hard drive spins down, and the machine reboots.
I have tried single channel memory, dual channel memory, each stick individually, voltage settings, underclocking, stock speeds, overclocking, booting into safe mode, trying to repair and scan from symantic systemworks corporate edition 2004, repair from the XP console (even though I don't know whats wrong), cleared CMOS numerous times, took ALL mods off the system, turned the pot on my pc power and cooling back down to stock, etc. etc. Temps are in the low 30's to high 20's with watercooling. No, there is not a leak. This is all in a Coolermaster ATC 101b case, and grounding is not an issue. And its HIGHLY unlikely its the psu....its a pcp&c 510 deluxe.
I have no idea whats going on, and whenever I have come accross problems like this before, doing the things above always fixed it....
NOTES: I have absolutley no indication that these have anything to do with the problem but you should be aware of them anyway...
1. I am running Catalyst Beta 4.7 Drivers on the Radeon. I am inclined to believe that they are not the problem since safe mode doesnt work either and I have been running them for a few days including an all night lan party last night.
2. My hard drive is an IBM Deathstar. Nuff Said.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks.
