Random shutdowns w/ new PC

I recently built a PC for my girlfriend, when I initially installed and configured everything I didn't have any problems. Since she took it home and installed a few applications (AOL) she has been having constant problems with the PC resetting itself. Here are the PC specs as best I can remember.

CPU - 3.0 GHz P4
1 GB Ram
Newer GeForce Video Card
Sony DVD burner
52x CD Burner
Floppy
7 in 1 card Reader
Turtle Beach soundcard
350 watt Power Supply that came with the Case (Aspire I believe)
3 cooling fans
XP Professional


From what I can tell the PC seems the restart whenever AOL is running or there is something processor intensive going on like burning a DVD. The temperature gauge on the Case reads in the 70's so I don't think there is a heat issue, I tend to think that the generic power supply is probably to blame but I wanted to see if you all had any other ideas what the problem could be.

What kinda mobo? See if you can get monitoring software and check the CPU temps instead of just case temps. But yeah, it would seem that it is the power supply-related, although it also could be overheating.

Mobo is an Elite Group PT800CE-A from Fry's .... nothing special.

What you have sounds like it calls for a fair amount of 12V amperage. I vote for trying a 400W+ Antec, Enermax or Fortron PSU in that thing next.

Also boost the memory voltage a little if it's loafing around on AUTO. The fancier the memory, the more liberal you might need to get with the voltage... what brand/model is the RAM?
