Stop error 0x7E: SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED. This is a common stop error that has a wide range of possible causes. One of the most often seen culprits is misbehaving antivirus software, and some brands have a worse track record than others. Which AV product/s does she have installed on her computer?

If you have dump files, you may want to try to install WhoCrashed to analyze the dump files to identify the culprit.

http://www.resplendence.com/whocrashed

I used it to diagnose random blue screens on a friend's laptop recently and it pointed to Norton Internet Security and AMD video drivers. Removed NIS and updated AMD video drivers.

Running Memtest to make sure is not your memory is an idea too (already mentioned).

I am inclined to suspect Antivirus on this one, because of the error and the fact that I have seen PC's having issues with Webroot's antivirus software in the past. As Bubbaleone mentioned, there are a variety of things that can cause this, but I would start with the Antivirus, and if the problem persists you may want to start uninstalling apps that were installed since the date the problem started.

Most of your BSODs are hardware or driver related. It could be the hard drive. Download HDtune and test the drive.

Do you have a muti boot system? Sometimes Windows gets confused to the correct boot partition.

Webroot is crap for system stability. It interfered strongly with Win7's auto-update feature. It would cause infinite hangs shutting down and stuff like that.

it could be a number of things, if you get dump files then something is acting up, if not then maybe heat? if its webroot then take that out.

This is DirectX or graphics card/graphics card driver! Other possible causes are. Memory problems... Corrupted hard disk system files... Corrupted System Files... Viruses.I would run a chkdsk.and a sfc/scannow.you could have to run sfc/scannow up to 3 time sometime to fix.

I don't like that SMART warning. It could be DirectX or the video card driver, but if I saw that warning I would start backing stuff up. After all at the bottom it does say damaged sectors. Start backing up and buy a new drive.

I just want to add that just because whocrashed said you had DirectX problems all that could mean is that DirectX is residing on the bad sectors.

A third party driver was identified as the probable root cause of this system error. It is suggested you look for an update for the following driver: wrkrn.sys (Webroot SecureAnywhere, Webroot).
Google query: Webroot SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION

NOTE THAT I AM RUNNING WEBROOT ON BOTH MY COMPUTERS AND ITS NOT CAUSING ANY ISSUES WITH MY COMPUTER!

As others have mentioned, your problems are with the Video card and/or directx drivers. Download and install the latest stable (WHQL) drivers and Directx, and see if the issue goes away.

Webroot is probably not causing your problem here, but we are just letting you know Webroot has some of the bulkiest software out there (read uses lots of RAM) and even the free Microsoft Security Essentials has a better detection rate (it did the last several times I have looked into this anyway.)
