Crazy deal. Pats will be unstoppable with Stallworth and Moss. Doesn't hurt to have Brady throwing to them, either.

Stallworth can't stay on the field, he's good for one hamstring injury a season at least.

Moss takes plays off, runs soft routes at times, and doesn't run block. Moss really hasn't done anything in a couple of years.

If NE is going to be unstoppable, it's going to be because of the players they held over from last year, starting with Maroney. Watson should figure in more, too.

Well, this just ruined my weekend . I guess it's not like a couple of years ago where I absolutely hated the Patriots, atleast I respect Tom Brady now. The Pat fans can get mightily annoying, though, as they rank up there with Red Sox/Yankees fans, and Raiders fans. As long as my Bengals can make it to the playoffs this year, I'll be happy.

The Pats have been rocking this off season. They definitely filled all their gaps. They're going to be scary good this year.

That's the truth! I was thrilled when I heard about Stallworth and Thomas. Then I heard that we decided to get a good cover saftey, THEN Randy Moss?!!! <cartman> fvckin sweeeeet</cartman>

That Pats definitely are a scary team right now, and I think they will be the team to beat.

All the more reasons to hate the pats(mainly the pat's fan base), should be interesting to see.

If you're going where I think you're going

Not going there at all .... I just hate dynasties and I prefer parity in the NFL. Its great when any team can win it all going into the playoffs.... it gives every true NFL fan hope.

New England added a lot at WR, but WR's don't get a lot of touches per game. It will depend on the OL and defense, just as football usually does. Randy Moss doesn't run block, takes plays off when it's not called to his #, and was only worth a 4th round pick. What's that say? Stallworth has the injury bug, which is what made him expendable in NO and PHI.

At the core, its still Brady, a talented OL, and Maroney. The defense has been upgraded. That's where you evaluate this team, not at WR. But the Colts have earned the right to be the team to beat.

Wow dude, you need a reality check. The Colts have lost much more than the Patriots and the Pats were one catch away from a FOURTH Super Bowl ring. We have filled in the gaps on our defense that got us to the AFC Championship game, and the offense that got us to the same place. Had we not had a number 2 WR in our first slot, that ball would have been caught (along with much more along the way). Now we have alot of WR talent that will only help Brady put up some huge numbers against any defense, ESPECIALLY the Colts.

GO PATS! Win one (MORE) for the gipper.

I'm sorry your team hasn't had our success, but it's not like the Pats signed a bunch of all stars and threw em on the field. Our team is built around a late second day draft pick (nice how that pick worked out, thanks Mo Collins ) and a bunch of talent that the Patriots can make work together and win.

The Patriots dynasty is an ode to great coaching, a great front office, and great team talent.

How the trade evolved is a story itself. Ongoing trade talks from throughout the offseason continued Friday and intensified Saturday night after the draft when the Raiders called the Patriots and got New England to sweeten its offer of what had been a sixth-round pick. New England agreed to trade a fourth-round pick to Oakland.

From the article. Can you imagine if the pats had only given up a 6th round for him? It's a great enough trade for a 4th but man a 6th would have been highway robbery.

Jesus, the Patriots are winning the superbowl. Tom Brady is officially the luckiest man alive...knocking up models left and right, now he's got the best receiver in the NFL to throw to (and Stallworth as a #2 ain't bad)

Ill be trying to draft Moss for FF. He has a chip on his shoulder now and has something to prove. Almost everyone has discounted him and labeled him as done. I hate the Pats (Chargers fan) but with Brady throwing and Moss down field? Damn

Cleveland fired him.

And get the Pats to the doctor, they just got cancer. (Moss)
I don't think the Pats will put up with his crap...there's a reason they had 2 first-rounders this year. Once they re-work the deal, I'm sure it will have a number of character clauses in it.

Moss and the pats agreed to rip up the old contract, and give him a 1 year, $3 million dollar deal. It can go up to $5 million if certain incentives are reached.

This really sucks for the Packers... could have had him for a 3rd or 4th round pick, but Ted Thompson was not willing to take a little risk. Oh well...

We'll to be fair, I don't think Brett Favre could mold Randy Moss when they went 6-10 (That was a guess) last year, when the Pats reached the AFC Championship game. Also, the Pats have taken in other players with "character issues" and ultimately having one of them, being Corey Dillon, helping win another championship.

This just in:

The New England Patriots have been infected by the level four biohazard known to the world only as "The Moss Virus".

Prognosis:

Death.

Don't forget that the Pats also get the Niners' first round pick next year.

If the Niners should underachieve next year, that could potentially be a top-ten pick!

Once again, the Pats front office proves how much smarter they are than most other front offices.

(and this is coming from a non-Pats fan)
