Anyone that has nested quotes more than 2 deep in this thread is now on vacation for a week for Neffing quotes.

I've been away from ATOT for quite a few months. One thing I've noticed A LOT of is quoting without "cleaning" up before making the post. Is it the new "quick reply" tool that is making people lazy? I've never seen such ridiculous quoting in my whole Intarweb Forum-lurker career:

And that's not the worst of it! This was just a quickie example I parsed. So just a reminder to all -- can we clean up the quotes before we make our post official? No need to quote 10 or 15 layers deep.

Okay, I'm done now.

It kinda bugs me too.

But then I got a vacation for the huge nested quoting deal a while back

EXACTLY. I don't mind a quote or two -- but when it goes ten-fifteen-twenty layers deep, it gets UNNECESSARILY long.

Nope, not gonna do it. If it bothered the board owner he could change it.

Feel free to quote me.

I know there is one forum software that if the quoting gets too long, they will have one of those "hide/show" buttons for everything that you quote. It's pretty cool, and a useful feature.

Forgot which forum I saw that in though.

I desperately want to start a parody thread entitled: "QUOTE about ranting on the Forum" and just quote the OP, but I'd miss you guys for a week.

I wasn't going for pure pissed off, and I wasn't trying to author a beautiful piece of work to bring a tear to your collective eyes. Because I'm not pissed or angry. It's a freaking Internet forum -- not about to get wrapped up about it. Just something I noticed since I've been away, and thought I'd mention.
