That's it. I don't have a million and one products. I have just recently started to shave my body hair because I hate it! I've always hated body hair. It doesn't have anything to do with getting women. I hate it and I was so self conscious of it especially when I'm wearing a nice shirt/tie.

But that's just me. Maybe my products might be a bit too much for you but I've always been like this.

Dude, that's not metro at all. You've just been expelled from the metro category.

I've never been hairy so I don't have to worry about it. I didn't need to shave until my early 20's, and I didn't need to shave every single day until my mid 20's. But I am getting hairier with age.

911TZ so what do you consider metro?

Let me add a funny story.

Usually I shave and I'm clean, and I think I look ok. When I went camping a few years ago I was all dirty, I hadn't shaved in about a week, and my hair was a mess. When I went out I was getting hit on by chicks. I knew it, but I didn't want to accept it since I felt so dirty. But that taught me that there are a lot fo women who do like the rugged, mountain man look.

ok..dont get mad... this is an opinion/observation.. not a judgement..

but that is an awful lot of stuff for a guy to have....no? to me that is a lot. i cannot think of anything you left out. those are the same things that i have for me.

my b/f has....
shampoo
toothbrush
razor/shave gel
deoderant.

that's it.

again, not trying to get at you... it just seems weird to me.

How old is your boyfriend, tho? (if that's not too rude a question ) I think there is also a generational effect here. I don't see the products Tec699 listed as being terribly unusual for a straight male in his 20s. It might be a bit more unusual to see an older guy using those products. I'd be shocked out of my skin if I went home and found my father using facial moisturizer (altho christ knows he needs one )..

of course i have shaving cream. it is girls shaving cream. it is mostly for my legs... but usually i just shave with hair conditioner. it is a lot cheaper, gives a closer shave and doesnt dry out the skin.

Finally, I want to appologize for my commenets.

No I don't think that 91TTZ is a commie and no I don't think that he should leave this great country. My parents are doing well financially now but it has never been so great. My parents stuck to their guns and have weathered some hard times. Yes, my uncle is a multimillionaire but he's also a pain in the ass. We don't talk much at all and if I need to borrow money he'll make me come to his house and I'll literally have to beg him for the loan. Of course, I always pay hime back as I don't take handouts!

We'll that's about it. I have to get ready for work.

bye all.

he is 40yrs old. he is very blue collar. very blue collar.

again, i am not saying it is right or wrong for tech... or anyone else for that matter... have and use that stuff if it makes them happy. it is just weird to me. i am 42yrs old, so you may be correct that it is a generational thing. i dont know many guys in their 20's... VeggieFrog's b/f.... but i dont think he has a lot either... not sure though, as he hasnt stayed here in a long time...

my opinion is this... if a guy wants to shave his body hair and pluck his eyebrows... and keep as many toiletries in their bathroom as i have.. that is really kewl for them... if their wives/lovers are happy with it... great for everyone.

it is not my taste in men. i like the blue collar kinda guy... the wash and go type.

Well you know what I say: If you're a guy and you're spending anything but the barebones time looking for clothes, doing your hair, etc. you're either queerer than a six-legged rabbit or you've got way too much time on your hands. Metrosexualism is, for most hom-i mean guys, a phase that they'll grow out of, rather like goth. It just takes a bit longer to wear off, and if you're...oh 30 years old and it's not worn off your life probably is vapid and sorry. I don't equate it to "taking care of one's self". Taking care of oneself is staying fit and healthy and not eating like an idiot. Playing with your hair like some 16 year old aching to make out for the first time is not taking care of yourself.

It would never work out for us. Nevermind that I'm married, you have a boyfriend and you're older than I am

I have to spoil myself with quality shampoo and conditioner. I'll never do the shaving my entire body/plucking eyebrows crap.
