RANT: + How much do they charge to install a Alarm / Starter combo?

Man, I got a thing in the mail for a store near by that installed alarms for $50 so I called them & said I have a starter & alarm combo how much would they charge they said $50. So I order the combo online call them up today & ask again & they say $50. I said I would be there in 15mins. I get there & the guys like oh this is a combo it will be $130 i'm like wtf? You guys said $50 on the phone & hes like I apoligize but someone told you wrong. God Damn SOBS! Damn I wanted to rant! I'm pissed. Now I need to find some one in Chicago to do it for me. BLAH!

If they actually did it for $50 it would probobly be a terrible install. Alarms are probobly ones of the least fun things to put on a car. TONS of wire to run and cut and solder and lots of trouble shooting. Id say that $130 isnt a bad price at all for starter and alarm installed. I dont think i would install someone elses alarm for less than $100. Its a ton of work.

I called up a lot of places, found a place that will do it for $100. I guess I will go tomorow & get it done.

thats complete BS, but yeah, a $50 install probably wouldn't go off until after the guy had taken your stereo and was walking down the street

LOL Lithium, I believed it because I have no idea as to how much it would cost. I know now & $100 is the best price I can get.
