Good fvcking lord. I've never had so many problems with a single game.

First it started off with a terribly long install time. For those of you saying, wow it's a laptop, it's REALLY slow. It's a p4 2.4GHZ desktop processor lapp with a Radeon 9000 128mb video card. It took me a good 15 minutes to install this game.

Second of all, it's laggy as hell, when i go to click on customizing my players costume there is a good half second delay. Whether thats the programming, or my computer I can't tell. What I am pissed off about is truly something that isn't my notebook computer's fault.

First of all, I've discovered several triggers that don't work, for those of you that play, I had to play the level 3 times in order to get the final trigger on the Tier 1 Bakura Power Station level to work in order for me to get back out to my ship. Second of all, the game crashes 3 times when loading up the next level and because of it's inability to save at the level selection menu (that it forwards you to RIGHT after you pass the leve) you can't save and I had to repeat the level over and over.

So, finally I manage to get to the next level... loading... loading... loading BAM. 00x000000 Not JPEG file. Program crashes.

Fvck that, I close it in disgust. Uninstall it and re-install it, redo the patches, keep the saved games and load it back up. B

BAM crashes again. Mother FVCKER!

Reboot 1..2..3..

UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_ SECTOR

*** Stop 00x00000000

Windows has stopped starting because it has detected a problem blah blah.. blah blah blah. Please restart your computer, if this problem persists, please uninstall your recently installed hardware and software.

Well THATS MOTHER FVCKING GREAT... now if I COULD GET INTO WINDOWS TO UNINSTALL IT THAT WOULD MAKE MY FVCKING DAY.

Now I'm stuck with a 3,000 dollar canadian notebook, that won't fvcking start up, and there is NOTHING I CAN DO ABOUT IT, except send it in for 2 weeks and get it fixed. PROBLEM IS, ALL OF MY NOTES AND HOMEWORK ARE ON IT FOR SCHOOL and END OF TERM IS ON FRIDAY AND MY TEACHERS WANT MY WORK.

FVCK the game, FVCK the computer, and FVCK it all..

My rant is over.

P.S. Someone help me before baby jesus cries!! I need my work.

Edit: I haven't even tried multiplayer or any levels beyond the first 6.

It wasnt the game causing the problem, you hard drive was on thr fritz before hand. Either that or you have some bad RAM. If you can, try swapping out one or the other and it should fix your problem. RAM is prolly the cheaper option. If you have two sticks in there, take one out and see if that fixes it. If it doesnt, swap the one thats in with the one thats out.

No I'm pretty sure it isn't my hard drive or ram. I've had this computer for a year, and I only started having problems today. Edit: After installing this POS.

Ketteringo is most likely right with his assessment that you have faulty hardware. How can you be sure that it's not your hard drive or RAM? I've never heard of game installs creating the kind of problems you are having, especially a retail release of a quality game from a respected company. You have a hardware issue, I think it's pretty obvious, you just happened to install the game right when your computer gave out on you.

If you have some experience with (dis)assembling computers or have a friend with such experience, try to remove the hard drive from the laptop and hook it up to a desktop to salvage your work. There are laptop-desktop drive adaptor cables available at PC hardware stores, you will need one of those.

I know this won't help now, but for future reference, always have multiple backups of your important work. Hard drives die more frequently than you would think, especially in laptops that you carry and throw around all the time.

Most importantly, calm down and don't do anything stupid to your computer!

If my hard drive is truly on the fritz. I will try and get them to back up my my documents folder if they can salvage it.

Have you tried the easy stuff, like starting in Safe Mode, or with a bootable OS disk and using the recovery option?

As has been said, it's most likely just coincidence that you are having this trouble around the time you installed the game. I had a woman call me at work not too long ago who claimed that the university's software package had installed spyware on her system because it happened at the same time.

Hey Ryan, guess what! I had my hard drive fail on me yesterday!!! First it just would not allow me to modify files, then when I ran scandisk to find out what was wrong, I got a blue screen. After rebooting I got the exact same error message as you, then the computer would not even recognize the hard drive anymore! Talk about coincidence... Fortunately I had backups so I only lost about 2 hours of work, but it was still a major annoyance.

Anyway, hope all goes well with your laptop!
