My pet peeve is people parking their vehicle in the back lane blocking half the fuggin road. Especially when the road is narrow with people's backyards all fenced up. Another one is people speeding down the back lane as if it were a normal road. Kids play there and you just don't know when they'll run out.

i am just unhappy when other drivers are rude. IE there's a long line of drivers waiting to merge from one highway to another and there is traffic... but the thing is, you'll always have the asshole who decides his time is more important drives to the very very front, and waits for someone to let him merge. Not using turn signals only really peeves me about drivers i know who don't use them consistantly, on the road, i hope that they normally do, but realize it isn't a practical hope

LOL at the 'that roughly half of them are women' comment.

Yes this does happen but the trick is to flip the signal on and merge at the same time. There's no reason they should be pissed at you since there was enough room in the first place. The signaling thing is more for formality at that point... and I'd rather have that than someone who drifts over wthout a signal like you are not important.

I hate the fourth guy that turns left after the light goes red... and the guy that drives all the way up a lane that's ending, passing 50 lined up cars on the way, and then forces their way into the remaining lane, resulting in the whole merging section of the road flowing much more slowly.

I've noticed over the years that the likelihood of a driver using the turn signal is inversely proportional to the base price of the vehicle. It's got to be a psychological thing. Specifically, I think it's a sociopath thing.

Most of mine have already been mentioned:

1. people driving slow in left lane forcing people to pass on right
2. people tailgating while we are stuck behind dozens of other cars following person mentioned in #1
3. SUVs

People that don't follow "Stay right except to pass". If someone wants to go faster than you, just move over, it is that easy. That will solve a majority of tailgating/traffic issues.

I hate mr let everyone out person:
People that like to stop suddenly on a busy road to be a nice person and let someone out into traffic. Meanwhile 12 cars behind this person have all rear ended each other.

Get the fvck out of their way and your day can continue. If you don't want to care and have no way to get out of there, don't look. Why should they hit you ? They'd be 100% at fault. People jamming on the brakes to "teach them a lesson" won't cause an accident either ? Oh please. Wake the fvck up. These people are not out to get you. They'd do it to the guy next to you if they were in your place. Stop playing vigilante and just get the fvck over. You think they care about you 2 seconds after they finally pass ? What's the point ? You're nothing to them.

Have you ever been hit from behind because someone was following too close? I have and I still have back problems because of it.

Although I agree with you in part, there are some cases where it is not possible or it doesn't make sense to move over to get out of their way.

For example, it doesn't make sense during heavy traffic where all lanes including the left lane are congested. If I move, the car behind me moves up at most 50 feet. I tend to leave about 5+ car lengths between me and the car in front of me so I have plenty of stopping space. This seems to convince people that I am not going fast enough even though I am going the same speed as the car in front of me (to maintain the 5+ car lengths).

Whenever I have someone tailgating me, I just slow down so if they do hit me, they won't be going fast enough to do any real damage. This usually gets them to go around me.

Right. In the majority of cases the tailgater is speeding over the limit on a highway full of traffic. Otherwise he would not be hanging on the rear, but passed you in another lane. So, let's get the facts straight: someone is braking the law here making the road unsafe for everyone. Mmmkay? Now, we can proceed to the next portion:

Why would you move out of the way as soon as you see some @sshole hanging on your rear breaking the law? It could be unsafe both for you and the other people around you. I've been almost hit when I decided to let some idiot go at the closest turnout and started pulling to the right when the lane split. guess what? This shmuck saw my turn signal, so me trying to get out of the way, and yet his reflexes were already lcoked onto passing me _on the right_. So, he almost slammed inb my rear.

I do agree with you that a courteous driver could pull to the right (if he can and is safe to do so), but he does not have to, so that the idiot behind could save his precious 2 seconds.

Why should they hit you ? They'd be 100% at fault.

You know, you make an impression of an intelligent person, yet this remark is lamest ever. Why would they hit you? Mmm, let me guess - you see the road hazard which they can't because their eyes are fvcking glued to your rear? Because they do not possess F1 pilot's reflexes?

It's nice to know they were 100% at fault when you are wedged in the car and paramedics extract your body with jaws of life. 'Wake the fvck up'. Right.

While noone can argue tailgating is right, sometimes people that are driving SLOW in a PASSING LANE need to be WOKEN UP that people want to go faster than them. In my opinion, the person who does not move over is just as at fault.

turnsignals dont bother me too much. one that really pisses me off is in winter driving, the roads are all snowpacked/icy and slick as snot. And you are behind a big truck like a 24' delivery truck or semi and they use their gears to slow down. when this happens the next thing you know is that you are bering down on the ass of a truck the just slowed down by 20mph, the road is icy, you break but it makes you slide.... while on a two lane road with oncoming traffic.

If you drive a truck, Please tap your breaks to let the cars behind you know you are gearing down to slow down!!

My biggest peeve are those people who run the red lights. It's impossible to go when the light turns green in Chicago because you first have to wait for the 2-3 people running the light and then wait for the 2 people who couldn't turn left because they had to wait for the assholes running the light. Is it so hard to just stop? You just going to get stuck at the next light anyways.

My other peeve (as a pedestrian) are those people who don't wait for people in the crosswalk, but just turn anyway. It's called a right-of-way for a reason!

I wish other people were this courteous. I guess morons don't realize that from 70mph a car will come to a stop about 50ft before their 5,000lb truck.
