I've never really had any issue with purchases made with online fucking vendors - all of my deliveries have been made on time, and in the condition I expect them to be in.

About a month ago I had placed and order, and when it came time for delivery, it was nowhere in site. Being the reasonable person I am, I waited another 2 days to see if it showed up -- nothing. Tracking information had not been updated either since it first left the warehouse. Naturally, I contacted Amazon and raised my concern. The rep proceeded to tell me that the package was no considered 'lost,' and that they would issue a refund. Fair enough -- I actually no longer needed the components that I had ordered. Fast forward another 3 days, and the damn package showed up anyhow, lol. I initiated the return process, and shipped back the package.

Fast forward to this past Monday, my happy ass goes and places another order. Delivery is scheduled for today, but wouldn't you know it, no tracking updates since it left the warehouse. I reached out to Amazon, and again, was told that the package was now 'lost,' and in turn was issued a refund. The rep told me to place another order and that she would have it rush-shipped to be delivered by tomorrow. The only problem now is that I had used Amex points towards the initial purchase, which would be refunded back to my card after 24-48 hours...so no hope of getting my package before the weekend (it sounds childish, but I really want it ) if I want to receive the adjusted price for the product that I ordered....So now I will be waiting another couple of days prior to ordering again.

TL;DR - never had problems with online fucking vendors, now shit is getting lost.

Help me out here...why would you single out Amazon and not even mention the shipper which is where the problem likely resides? Did you ask Amazon about using another shipping method for your purchases?

USPS the first go around, FedEx this last time. Same warehouse. Most likely a coincidence, but I haven't had many issues with other vendors using these same couriers. I figured the 'don't blame Amazon' brigade would arrive

Once Amazon hands the package to FedEx they have no way to make it arrive themselves.

If you used Amazon Drone Shipping you could blame their sloppy piloting if the package was lost

Why would you blame Amazon when it's clearly not their fault, or are you just thick? :hmm:

I am holding Amazon 100% accountable for all problems in my life.

I'll reword the fucking first line in the thread, as that appears to be all that anyone is focused on.

They're just PMSing.

Nothing better to do I suppose. I clearly understand the logistics of a vendor/courier relationship. Just highlighting the fact that it's happened with the same vendor twice in a row now, with different carriers.

Between the USAF and Amazon Drone Escort (Detroit Division) jobs coming up, I really need to go work on my remote piloting and strafing skills.

What delivery service did they use? Because Amazon has started using their own delivery service for some packages, so it could actually end up being Amazon's fault.

I had a somewhat similar issue happen to me, although in my case the package was indicated to have reached my city but never gets delivered from tracking info. When I contacted Amazon, they immediately offered to send another package via next day shipping for free (that one did arrive the next day). I was happy with they handled the situation and it was pretty clear to me that the shipper was at fault.

From what you described (same issue happening with 2 different shippers) it seems that Amazon may be at fault here. I'm also a bit surprised by their response (refund) versus sending it via expedited shipping.

Had this happen for shelves I ordered for my bro. They made it to the local warehouse but they weren't allowed to ship until the date. The local guy said he had to hold them.

Amazon's shipping system has been all over the place for me lately. Three weeks ago I ordered a case for my new phone, prime, took 9 days to get here. Complain, get a few movie credits. Two weeks ago needed some gear for a Sunday game, ordered overnight an item, received the wrong item. Didn't have the gear for my game, complained, got a bunch of movie credits and replacement shipped overnight.

Last Friday ordered 2 24" monitors, Prime, Showed up the next day Saturday delivery. That same Saturday ordered a new Vacuum, arrived Monday morning.

Gotta take the bad with the good.

Amazon actually uses some discount freight service for many of their delivers to get the package most of the way. This is why for example if you live in northern California, amazon will say the package has left their warehouse in Arizona, and but the shipper will show they received it in Oakland the next day. Their won't be any tracking info at all after it leaves the warehouse.

It is amazon being cheap.

Does FedEx show they actually received package, or does it say a shipping label has been made and package is on its way to them.
