Sigh, why is it that the guys take so long to learn?
They stand around like goofy staring at their shoes, they don't understand that a woman is waiting to be asked out. We're not going to just walk up and ask you out (well some will, but not all).
You might think you're a dork or lame or whatever, but that's ok, that is just not an issue most of the time (hey, lots of us are dorks too). We're looking for funny, romantic, kind, inteligent, sweet guys who will treat us with respect and consideration. It doesn't really matter if you're rich or poor, hot or not quite so hot... It also doesn't matter if we're hot, we don't compare that sort of thing (the non-shallow ones don't anyway).
Lesson #1: If you talk to a woman that you're interested in, go ahead and ask her out. She might say yes, she might say no, but she'll be flattered that you asked her. Ask enough women and a few will say yes, then you've got yourself a date for Saturday night!
Lesson #2: Be yourself no matter what. We can spot fake from across the room, we're experts at it. Odds are the honesty that shows through when you're just being yourself will make you that much more attractive.
So go out into the world and seek out a woman, they are waiting for you!

This is a rant from Thumper. She spent half an hour with me telling me how stupid men sometimes are... One of her friends was trying to get this guy to ask her out, she spent all New Year's Eve trying to tell him, "hey, I want to be asked out, ask me out, please!" but since many women won't come out and say that, she didn't get asked out cause he was an idiot.
