In that case you needed to add " " or a source around the whole title.
I sense that you're tap dancing

I'm in awe that this thread has so much serious discussion. Do we really need to say anything beyond "That's one crazy bastard"?

The original article is racist and lame. I never said the OP picked the title. Just because some other source posts crap, you do not need to drag it to AT. The whole thread has no relevance, it only inspires class/race hate. Too many people around here already have a hatred for rap and blacks, why make a thread just to backup there small minded bigotry?
Has no relevance to what?

The article doesn't try to tie KRS-One's feelings to all rappers or all Blacks. The OP also doesn't make that connection

What is the point then? Are we supposed to reply "damn ni**ers"? "fcking rappers"? So there is some washed up rapper who said some dumb ass things. The only point I can see is to drum up some resentment to people you already dislike.

I guess we could post about Rush saying we should Nuke Iraq or Savage saying we should put dynamite in the asses of Iraqis and drop them from 20,000 feet. Ignorant people say ignorant things, we could flood the forums daily with these kinds of quotes, does it add to some kind of useful debate or discussion?

What are you talking about? I'd go with either "Damn KRS-One" or "fcking KRS-One"

Any of these look familiar, Todd?

A majority of people on welfare and government assistance are white trash in the south. This is Bush's base.

I guess we can say the same about the "get out the vote" in the white trash evangelical churches.

He's just ignorant white trash

Bush has a lock on rural, pickup truck driving, beer drinking, wife-beaters.

If all the white trash states want to outlaw sex, marriage, masturbation, etc. let them.

Does anyone on Earth think G.W. Bush would be anything if he was born to white trash?

Educated liberals and white christian trash shop at different places.

The Republican party is a strange mix of the super wealthy and the Christian white trash

I have no idea what that means...

It's the presentation. It's racist flamebait (and so is the original article). Nothing else. There were two trolls that came out of the woodworks to push this junk in two separate threads and one of them has a history of racist innuendos. If they wanted to cite this as a weirdo claim by a bad rapper, they could have presented it differently.

KRS-One is actually a talented guy, but he's way out of line here, and these comments are, IMO, clearly a cheap effort to revitalize a career that has been moribund since the late 80s.

I'm not crazy about the headline of this article, but in all fairness to Alchemize, he just copied and pasted what the newspapers ran.

I am a little skeptical about this one. KRS 1 has always been fairly positive, but he doesn't trust the government. I need more proof positive to believe he said this. This doesn't sound like him at all. If this was Chuck D, I might buy it face value, but for KRS 1, I need a little more.

Sorry, just stopping in to laugh at the people screaming RACISM because the article mentioned he is black.

If the world were run by AT liberals, we wouldnt have words. Just grunts because words are just to controversial.

But... they are PROgressive. I promise.

Kris Parker is obviously an idiot and his comments about his own people obviously don't reflect how they feel and he would do well to not speak for others that surely do not agree with him.

Where alchemize clearly trolled was in his topic summary of "He'd be welcomed on ATPN!" I know that I, for one, did not cheer when 9/11 occurred. That my long-time SO was actually in a plane over California when the event took place and that I was greatly concerned for her safety made it hit that much more hard and real for me. That countless assholes have come out afterwards to use 9/11 as the rallying cry for their own personal agendas though has upset me more than anything.

I'll weigh in. F*CK him and f*ck everyone that agrees with his idiotic comments. It is not a black or white thing, it is about a freaking idiot making his own people look really bad.

You know what I find funny. The accusations are always some minority cheered 9/11. But you know what a lot white people cheered 9/11 as well. I know as a black man I know of not one black person I have known or come in contact with that cheered what happened on 9/11, even those from the Nation. I have heard some say that the US is to blame for what happened on 9/11 becaused we meddle in other nation's business. But everyone I know and heard was appauled and fearful like anyone else.

While I am not disagreeing with you Vic, I fail to see how his summary is any different, or much different from many of the equally inflammatory summaries the McOwen and others tend to use...so while it was there to stoke the fire it isn't anything that should be seen as uncommon to ATPN..also funny how most of the loonie libs automatically take offense to this, what is it they say about those who are quick the reply are also those most guilty?...maybe subconsiously know he was somewhat on target with this statement and they feel the need to defend or decry?

Actually arsebanned, I think the liberals, the French, and Al-Q should go camping and sing songs together since they agree on so many points.

You see, Todd's trolling is ok because he's a lefty, and because we know all lefties are tolerant and respectful of everyone... except anyone who veers from their party line.

LMFAO. OWNED. Todd's postings mean nothing to me. Stop whining you little hypocrite, crying about racism when you are the only one so far proven to be a racist.

Liberals are Americans and luv America more than you. As a matter of fact liberals are the future of America. Liberals are multi-cultured, not racists redneck conservatives like those from the south. You sir are a dying breed. You will continue to die slowly and folks like me will continue to laugh. Soon America will be so gray folks like you will be an anomalie.

Two wrongs do not make a right. I've been known to slam on McOwen for his trolling too.

As for the whole "take offense" or "racism" issue, I don't think it's because the libs knew he was right (because he obviously is NOT) but because they subconsciously know (if you will pardon me) that the weakness of the black culture in America is their seeming inability to police and condemn their own who deserve it.

KRS Replies To New York Daily NewsClaims he was taken out of context.

KRS-One has hit back at the New York Daily News, after the newspaper ran an article that labeled him a ?Hip-Hop Anarchist.?

In yesterday?s (October 14th) popular Rush & Malloy?s daily gossip column, the paper accused the Bronx bred rapper of defiling the memory of people who were killed in the 9/11 attacks on the United States at the New Yorker Festival, where KRS was a panelist.

The article also accused KRS of siding with Al Qaeda, the terror organization that is blamed for orchestrating the deadly attacks.

?Like everyone I was shocked to read that I and other African-Americans actually ?cheered when 911 happened? and that I have ?declared my solidarity with Al Qaeda,?? KRS said in a statement. ?When I read my words taken out of context I was shocked and disappointed that the Daily News would go this far to assassinate my character and distort my views.?

KRS called the piece irresponsible journalism and pointed out that the magazine never attempted to follow up or even interview him to clarify his statements.

?I was making an objective point about how many Hiphoppas as well as the oppressed peoples of the world felt that day,? KRS continued. ?I am a philosopher and a critical thinker, I speak truth and I urge people to think critically about themselves and their environment. Yes, my words are strong. Yes, my views are controversial. But to call me a terrorist is simply wrong!?

KRS said that he never intended to disrespect the memories of those who lost their lives and said that he was making a statement.

?I was just as saddened as everyone else on 9/11,? he continued. ?However, for many of us that were racially profiled and harassed by the World?s Trade Center?s security and the police patrolling that area as well as the thousands of American protesters that spoke out against the World Trade Organization months before in Seattle, Washington there was a sense of justice, a sense of change, a wake up call watching the twin towers fall.?

The funny thing is that a lot of people think KRS is a thought-provoking, spiritual and good rapper. He IS a famous person (if you don't know) in the pop rap community (which is ironic because they think its underground meaningful rap...but let them think that so they can feel special). The op did nothing wrong bringing this up. He didn't pick ANY black person but a black leader. This guy is a leader in case you have no clue who he is. Millions of fans.

The US should bring him up on conspiracy to commit terrorist acts or something and kick his ass out. I love how he still lives there (boo fvcking hoo...white man "keepin a brotha down") yet hates the place and the people. Go fvck yourself and get on the next bus back to your third world homeland you greasy crack smoker.

---

I can understand your anger about KRS's lyrics, but your own "lyrics" are equally offensive and do nothing to further intelligent discussion of the problem.

Please find a more rational way to express yourself, or you may have to find another place to do it.

Alchemize, maybe you can consider "blacks cheered when 9-11 happened for your troll of the year award?

"cheered when 9-11 happened,"
"I say that proudly,"
"So when the planes hit the building, we were like, 'Mmmm - justice.' "
"doesn't affect us the hip-hop community,"
"9-11 happened to them, not us,"
"them" "the rich ... those who are oppressing us. RCA or BMG, Universal, the radio stations."
"Voting in a corrupt society adds more corruption,"
"America has to commit suicide if the world is to be a better place."

I don't know about you but those words can only be taken so far out of context on their own. They stand by themself and express what was on his mind pretty damn clearly.

He didn't say that. He said that a rapper said that.

I guess you would say that a post title saying 'White Supremacist: White people are better than non-whites' would equate to the OP saying that white people are better than non-whites?

You two must have one very strange history to jump to such a conclusion.

Enjoy your forthcoming vacation for spouting stereotypical racial hatred. At least that is how it sounds to me. that last sentence has no place in any discussion here IMO.

Again, if you have ever listened to ANY of his music or knew who he was (I can't see why you would comment here otherwise) you would know that he used to deal and smoke crack. But you didn't know that, did you?
