Since we already have the first Raptor Lake leak I'm thinking it should have it's own thread.
What do we know so far?
From Anandtech's Intel Process Roadmap articles from July:

Built on Intel 7 with upgraded FinFET
10-15% PPW (performance-per-watt)
Last non-tiled consumer CPU as Meteor Lake will be tiled

I'm guessing this will be a minor update to ADL with just a few microarchitecture changes to the cores. The larger change will be the new process refinement allowing 8+16 at the top of the stack.

Will it work with current z690 motherboards? If yes then that could be a major selling point for people to move to ADL rather than wait.

Gotta hand it to Intel when it comes to releasing specs that are impossible to compare to previous generations.

I'm interested in comparing 1365U to 1260U to see if we're getting any generational frequency/power benefits. Base power AND max power ratings by Intel are different so no meaningful comparison can be made. Nice.
Maybe when these new chips hit the Intel site specs something useful will appear.

Look at the N300 and N305. Both specified as max turbo up to 3.8GHz but 305 shows max turbo power of 15W while N300 is 7W. If one didn't know better you'd think the N300 was the better binned part. Really silly specs listed.

And what makes this more confounding is that depending on the cooling capabilities of various mobile units performance will again vary making apples-to-apples comparisons nearly impossible unless both parts are in the same systems.

Please Intel, just give me frequencies at specific power ratings so I can see what I'm paying for as I go up the stack not only within a generation but between them.

NewEgg only one retailer that has released the Non K and they are out of stock on the i5 13500 already! I want the i5 13600 or even the 13400. Not liking the markup above MSRP, however. I will just wait some more till they go down and bundle with motherboard combo just to get a deal! NewEgg pretty greedy! Was going buy from them but the did something I think I did not like!πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«

When I had my 13700K I tested it on two B660 boards, and one of the boards dropped the clock to 13700K's base clock (3.5 GHz) after a while of running Prime95 LargeFFT. The other one fared somewhat better, but it also dropped the clock speed by at least 500~600 MHz.

I hope reviews stop giving out information they have not verified themselves. From TPU's 13600K review;

I doubt this dude ever tested a single B660 board. Especially $100 ones.

Yeah, I was so antsy to buy the non K that kind of lost my head! I will be wait for the reviews now and see what they the reviewers recommend as best buy in both motherboards and i5 combos. LOL!πŸ’₯πŸ˜„πŸ‘

It looks like U and P-series will have a hard time against Phoenix. The advantage with more E-cores was already used up with Alder Lake.
Raptor will be faster just by a few %, Phoenix will see a much bigger increase, but I don't know by how much. In desktop we saw ~30% at the same TDP(7700X vs 5800x). Will It be more or less?

B760 is also set to be released at relatively affordable prices. We shall see what kind of quality soon. As far as I am concerned, 13600K class needs advertised spec of 500A on VRM. 13700K class 700A, and 13900K... sky is the limit.

Not a new thing though. Tremont did the same with N6005 @ 10W and N6000 @ 6W.

If Raptor Lake mobile is indeed new silicon, just without the additional L2, that would explain the steppings we've been seeing in the leaks, as well as any memory speed improvements or other small features. Also, whatever happened to DLVR? Even if it's not enabled, might show up in die shots.

What does DDR Memory Speed Support has to do with Core uArch design? Are you Serious?

A lot. Old CPUs don't get faster memory support, simple as that. Even if it's the same IMC....it has something to do with validation and Intel is really strict on this. Raptor IMC seems better anyways. The real Alder Lake renamed 13th gen SKUs like i5-13620H or i5-13420H doesn't get the faster memory, they are limited to max LPDDR5-5200 like ADL. It is really the best indication in this case. It was relatively clear from the CPU ID that Raptor mobile is Raptor based and not just a renamed Alder Lake, I even pointed it out to you but you ignored it.

So only desktop part released today that is Raptor Lake is 13700 non-K?

Unless it is cheaper than 13600K, which is highly unlikely, it is hard to beat the value position of 13600K. I mean, I am sure it is faster than 13600K in stock setting.. But you can get by with mid-range board with 13600K and maybe even oc a little.

Wow, the new small Raptors will chomp on AMD hard, and on some of their own too.

Nothing can beat perf/price of the new 13500.

13900 is here available too.

13700 and 13900 are not much cheaper than their K counterparts, I am not sure if anybody beside some large system builders would prefer them over the K variants.

Intel has done it to me again! The non K CPUs are a stagger release! There is no word of when the i5 13600 will be released!
Because they go to OEMs first to be used in office/corporate PCs.

You will keep waiting like this forever. By the time 13600 is available, Intel will reveal juicy details about Raptor Lake Refresh and then you will start dreaming about their non-K SKUs. Just get a i5-12600 and be done with it.

Coz ADL mobile was limited to DDR5-4800 SODIMMs. DDR5-5600 means it's Raptor Lake.
Let me clear this Up. All Intel Mobile SKUs on the 1300P and 13000 series are Raptor Lake CPU, no question about it... Do all SKUS come with Raptor Cove/RatorMont CPU uArch?? Absolutely Not(Only the 13900HX, 13950HX, 13980HX)

So yes they likely take advantage of Memory Speed improvement from the Raptor Lake Line.

For example. The 13700HX has Golden Cove Cores(1.25 MiB L2$ Per Core) and Gracemont(2 MiB L2$ per cluster)

Golden Cove

Gracemont

At best these are Golden Cove+, but not True Raptor Cove

Raptor Lake has a better memory controller. 13700HX is a re-purposed ADL die so it's limited to DDR5-4800. So the slower memory speed on 13th gen laptops can help identify whether the die is ADL or RPL.
