Since we already have the first Raptor Lake leak I'm thinking it should have it's own thread.
What do we know so far?
From Anandtech's Intel Process Roadmap articles from July:

Built on Intel 7 with upgraded FinFET
10-15% PPW (performance-per-watt)
Last non-tiled consumer CPU as Meteor Lake will be tiled

I'm guessing this will be a minor update to ADL with just a few microarchitecture changes to the cores. The larger change will be the new process refinement allowing 8+16 at the top of the stack.

Will it work with current z690 motherboards? If yes then that could be a major selling point for people to move to ADL rather than wait.

Not that it matters, real price is whatever the market will bear. I still think these will be $350+ when they come out. Past that, the 12700K will be a viable option.

I guess yeah we should wait for the official prices but I do think the official price of the 13600K will be $350ish.

So what price do you think they'll ask for 13500?

I'll say $270 but the error range is pretty high... lets say $250 - $280. Whether this is a good deal compared to the 12600K (which Newegg is selling the F version for $260 right now) is up to how much you like the E core spam.

Very sharp dropoff in boost clocks for everything but the 13900Kx ?

If that continue down the stack they are basically giving AMD a helping hand for them to compete in the low-end with fewer (e-)cores but higher clocks..

I think the 13600K is ~4% higher boost than the 12600K, but yes there's a bigger differentiation there between SKUs within 13th gen.

I wouldn't call any K or X CPU low end, they are enthusiast chips.

AMD didn't release a non-X desktop SKU for retail until April/May 2022 with Zen 3, so as far as the low end competition it depends on if they actually release lower end chips in the next 9-12 months.

AMD is still likely to gain market share though. The reason has little to do with performance, it has to do with the inclusion of an iGPU which they started with the Zen "Pro" lineup for OEMs. That has made their CPUs far more palatable to OEMs who purchase the vast majority of CPUs. The more of those Pro series they make, the more they'll erode Intel's share.

Intel can always adjust prices to be competitive there as they have already demonstrated doing recently, but they really want to have the best halo product because most consumers won't go beyond "Intel best!" or "AMD best!" even if that doesn't apply to their specific CPU and it's direct competition.

They know that a lot of people will buy an i7 or an i5 based on the performance of an i9, even if a comparable AMD part might be better as a mid-range part. AMD knows the same which is why they don't bother making any 8-core CPUs that could boost as high as their top 16-core CPU even though they could produce twice as many such CPUs.

6 GHz without hyperthreading and E-cores disabled. I like round numbers
The same "360 AIO" as last time ?
*edit* Seems news storys have been updated, at first it was reported as a "360 AIO"
(turns out the reported "360 AIO" were running liquid temperatures below the freezing-point for water..)

Dont want to be negative but i just dont really trust half the stuff IDF marketters are "leaking", many seems to be acting more like an extended arm of the Intel PR department in my taste.

*edit2*
Yes here we go again..

Anyone would care to guess real liquid temp for this "360 AIO" ? (coldest core is 24 degrees under load)

I mean it is Flank3r. He used to post here and on XS, and elsewhere. Guy's gonna do stuff to stand out. Whether or not everyone else will get the same performance out of a 13900k really isn't the point.

I doubt it's him, in the sense that he probably posted something from a chinese source: screenshots have "chiphell" watermarks and chinese language labels in the UI.

AFAIK Flank3r is in Europe.

Hmm so he's not even getting early samples anymore? Oh how times have changed. Used to be guys like him and fugger getting the early chips.

Given the rumors about how power hungry Raptor Lake could be, maybe this is actually stealth marketing by the cooler companies.

"Our product is so awesome, not even. 300W 13900K can make it crack 60 degrees!"

Someone should make an extreme mod where it's a combo PC case and fridge and it keeps it cold enough for your CPU and your beer. People really liked that weird KFC computer/chicken crisper, so this is sure to sell.
