that's a shame. i had no idea the condition affected 1/5000 females though, maybe some of those affected still have one and this girl was unlucky.

Edit: Why didn't her pediatrician discover this before she was one? I have an awesome pediatrician and she conducted my daughter's first physical exam which included a quick look in her vagina with an ottoscope.
