I have not seen that clip before, there is another older one of a gettysburg reunion with a guy doing it solo at a dinner table.
EDIT: That is a fantastic clip!
There's alot of differnet versions, the high pitched whoo is pretty common it seems.
LOL @ some of those old war vets trying so hard to belt it out!! that was awesome.

That was a fun video clip. Did I hear "Comrade Captain" at 1:05?
The yell was not intimidating. I was hoping for more. That yell reminded me of the can can dancing girls whooping and hollering at the close of their dance.

That was better, even disorienting. Thank you.
It further strikes me as being high pitched, similar to the native American Indian yelp.

It's also been documented that Confederate soldiers would do the Yell on long marches or even in camp, to boost moral. One such occasion the Yell was struck up in a rebel camp, then spread to the next and then the next. Soon the whole Confederate army camped in that area had joined in the cadence. Stonewall Jackson had walked out of his tent and leaned against a fence post to listen to the chorus. After it was over he said it was the most beautiful sound he ever heard.
instead of yelling they should have worked on their other combats skills. That might have prevented the North from handed them their collective ass on a silver plate.

Very cool. We're lucky to have that bit of history available :^)
Now almost everything is copyrighted for all eternity.
That video could conceivable be under copyright. It was made in the 30s, which is well into the copyrightable time period(>1922). It's a joke, isn't it? :^S
odd, i didn't hear any of them yell "more, more, more."
