Red soda made with cane sugar only.

Cheerwine? I see it in all the stores here in South Carolina. A good ginger beer is a different matter.

That's exactly what this guy did:

Check out his discontinued stuff - some of the prices are outrageous. I think his idea is good, but the prices seem pretty steep. I would think someone could do that for less, but maybe I'm wrong.

Maybe he needs some competition from someone who can offer fair prices (i.e., close to retail, actual shipping/packaging cost).
I could probably do it. We probably have more soda brands, especially imported international ones, in New York City than anywhere else. Could even use ATOT users as shipping points for limited regional brands.

Well I've already found a few posters in this thread who can get diet code red quite easily and would be willing to ship it to me in exchange for a Paypal payment. I can get Vault and Big Red quite easily, whereas some other posters in here could not.

We could use this thread as a central exchange point for rare drinks

Since moving to TX, I have been unable to find either one of them at any store. I spoke with a manager at HEB (regional grocery store chain) and he called his distributor who claimed that the Mountain Dew Diet Code Red was not even produced at any of their facilities in TX, and was therefore not available to anyone in TX. I figured the story would be the same with the red cream soda, so I didn't bother asking.

Has anyone seen either of these two recently? If so, where are you located and what store did you see it at? Both the diet code red and the red cream soda are listed as current products on their respective companies' websites, so I don't think they have been discontinued entirely.

If anyone else is looking for something rare, post it here and maybe we can use this as a central place to locate hard-to-find drinks Or if you can recommend another drink that tastes identical and is more widely available, that would work too.

I did see this site:

but their prices seem ridiculous. ($465 for a 12 pack of Pepsi Blue :Q, although that one was discontinued IIRC).

My fiancée lives in Texas and lived on Diet Code Red for a long time. She doesn't drink it anymore, but it was definitely available in Texas.

I miss Crystal Pepsi and Mountain Dew: LiveWire.

Where in TX does she live?

LiveWire is still available some places. Crystal Pepsi was discontinued in the early 90s IIRC. I don't think it lasted very long.

Lipton Ice Tea, with gas. AFAIK, you only get it in Belgium, and maybe The Netherlands, but otherwise it's hard to find, and I love that stuff!

How-ley crap! I have access to half of the brands on that website (plus I can get grape, orange, and peach Nehi AND Crush). If I sell them for 50% of what he's selling for, I could make a huge profit

That's what I came in to post about. It's all over the place in South Carolina, but I can't find it in western New York.

Someone could maybe design an online coop, where ATOT could input their location and the hard to find sodas that they have access to locally. This data could be uploaded to a retail website. Whenever a customer purchases a 12 pack, the members with access would be notified and then the first one to respond would be given the $ and then they would purchase and ship the soda.

Anybody?

Cheerwine is the BEST coke there is. To this day I have no idea why it's so hard to find. They could overtake all the other cokes in a heartbeat.

I picked up a classic glass Cheerwine at a gas station the other day. It was wonderful. One small perk to living here in NC.

I like this idea. What exactly do you mean by "retail" website?

Maybe it's a bad term. I guess customer interface would be a better description. You would need a distinct customer interface and a distinct member interface.
