Raspberry Pi's in FS/FT

Should people be able to sell the Raspberry Pi for more than the $35? The waiting lists are long, items are limited to 1 when you order - kinda feels like the Touchpad deal all over again. I was afraid this would happen, and it goes against the purpose of the Raspberry Pi project.

Just thought I'd bring it up since those of us in the USA are starting to get them.

Charging $90 for a $35 Raspberri Pi is price gouging, unless they are throwing all of the add-ons you need to use one like an SD card, USB power adapter, and HDMI cable.

Wasn't the case with the TouchPad, and shouldn't be the case with the Pi. Someone in the FS/FT forum is essentially charging $65 for a USB cable and a 8GB SD card on top of the $35 Pi.

FTW, I put mine up for sale for 100 shipped with a few extras. They are only coming from Europe at the moment and shipping is not cheap. I paid 15 dollars to have mine shipped and with the exchange rate, the raspberry pi actually cost me closer to 42 dollars. So it was 57 + 4 months of waiting, plus SD card, plus USB cable. Minus my cost of shipping it, 100 shipped is not really gouging especially when you consider how long you'd have to wait for the alternative.

The Touchpad was a bit different because people were ordering 50+ of them just to sell, you can't do that with the R-pi.

why would anyone even want to? these things were supposed to be readily available a long time ago, and especially now they are barely worth the $35 they are asking. it was a really cool idea, but they couldnt get units out fast enough and technology is passing by fast as there are more alternatives popping up

I can't believe there is still a ban on touchpads, then I saw this. A little ridiculous if you ask me. The community dictates the value of a product. But whatever, I don't own the place.

Yeah, I came into this subforum with the intent of bringing up the Touchpad ban. I have one that's just been collecting dust since the neatness wore off after a week or so. I'm not looking to gouge, but I could use the cash and it could use a better home than I'm giving it.

I'd just go to ebay or another tech forum to sell it. They are still fetching a decent price.
