I haven't seen it mentioned...or clarified...was this video available PRIOR to the NFL / Police involvement?
If the answer is yes, than this is pretty bad for the NFL to only take this sort of action until after it became public...
He looked into it, but backed out when the UFC wanted him to fight men rather than women.
Not only that but Ray Rice will have a cleaner record than Ray Lewis after 1 year as well.
Maybe the ravens don't want the years of questions like that had to deal with in Ray Lewis's case?
According to Ray Lewis:
"There is no comparison between me and Ray Rice. Its night and day."

I don't know anything about MLB contracts, but tell me why NPR is wrong:
http://www.npr.org/blogs/thetwo-way...alls-miguel-cabrera-lets-dig-into-that-number
Or: http://sabr.org/research/baseball-s-major-salary-milestones
Or: http://www.answers.com/Q/Are_Major_League_Baseball_contracts_fully_guaranteed
Or: http://www.sportsgrid.com/nfl/vernon-wells-crazy-contract-mlb-over-nfl/
SMARTASS ALERT!!!
My comment on contracts was to inform the other person that the non-guaranteed salaries were not a fault of Rice having a poor agent, but standard contract terms across the entire NFL. The MLB union is very strong and has been able to achieve guaranteed salaries as a standard basis in constructing MLB player contracts. The NFL union has not been that strong and has not been able to muscle such terms into standard NFL player contracts.
MLB players are able to win such terms with an owner because if the owner does not agree, chances are very likely the player will achieve those terms with a competing owner. In the NFL, that is not the case. An NFL player does not have the power to achieve a guaranteed salary because it is highly unlikely a competing owner will sign the player to such terms. And it's due in large part to the actions of the players union, the solidarity of the union members, and the value of the union & individual players to the profitability of the team business.
Yes.
No shit.
(See above.)
Yes. But look at this thread - it's filled with pieces of shit who think that it's OK for a dude who is 5'8", 220 pounds, and less than 10% body fat to hit a woman, as long as she hit him first.
She only got knocked out because she hit her head on the railing. He did not punch her hard enough to knock her out.
I am glad that they cut the Scum bag. Fuck all the smoke and mirrors you all are trying to bring up. The guy does not deserve to be on a football field in the view of public.
Probably. Which is begging the question of your crime being more criminal if it is national news?
But he is the pusher who gives the junkies their dose of sports. Hence all the excuses, the smokes and mirrors.I am glad that they cut the Scum bag. Fuck all the smoke and mirrors you all are trying to bring up. The guy does not deserve to be on a football field in the view of public.
Bad call on the NLF's behalf. A lovers' quarrel should not cost a man his job.
Ha!
"Lovers' quarrel".
I guess if he'd stabbed her with a knife, you'd call it a "Misallocation of cutlery resources".

I think the NFL is trying to be PC at the expense of good men like Ray Rice and, yes, Ray Lewis (who was attacked and had to defend himself). American football is exceedingly violent and to treat these men as if they're actors is a joke. You can't turn off the violence at the drop of a hat.
At the same time the men deserve some of the blame. If possible, they shouldn't congregate with gold-diggers and whores and thugs. Not saying they should be at a Children's Hospital every day but they have to make better choices.
Yes, you are a fucktard.
Yeah, I'm the fucktard. Judging this man (or any other man) by a single act isn't retarded. Nope, the circumstances don't matter one bit. You just keep telling yourself that you're better than some of these athletes based on what you see/read of a singular event. Whatever carries you through your miserable life is fine, I guess.
That tells me you either have hit a woman in the same manner in the past or grew up in that type of household for it not resonate on some negative level with you.
