Howdy all,
I own the Razer Blade Pro (first gen, with a single USB 3.0 port, http://************/k3f55r9) with a 256GB SSD. It boots Windows 7 so fast that it is usually waiting for me to enter the password before I even get a chance to finish plugging it in. It literally cannot complete the Windows boot logo, it is that fast.
So, I recently upgraded my main desktop computer to:
- Intel Core i7 4770 Haswell processor
- Gigabyte Z87-D3HP-CF motherboard (BIOS rev. F4)
- 16GB of DDR3 PC3-10700 (667MHz)
- NVIDIA GeForce GTX 280 (old video card)
- Samsung 840 Pro SSD 256GB (model: MZ-7PD256BW)
- Threw a couple old Raptor X's in a RAID 0 just for fun and extra storage.
and the speed difference -- on boot at least -- is nowhere near as fast as my Razer Blade.
Is there some customization I should be doing to Windows to make it faster on boot somehow? How does Razer do it?
Thanks everyone for all your insights!~ Happy holidays!
