Right now im using some microsoft mouse, dont even remember getting it or how I got it, dont even know what it is. It works fine but im looking for a nice gaming mouse. Razer was one of my first choices, along with steelseries, im actually using a steelseries shift right now, love it. But I have a choice set on a razer deathadder, it looks great, its ergonomic, has 2 macro buttons and other features. I know you cant always trust internet reviews but ive heard many different things, and this has 4 eggs on newegg, of which ill be ordering from. There was alot of reviews on how the design is alot different from other mouses, this one I cant really think about, everyone has a different mouse that they have used before, it will feel different but I would get used to it. Another big complaint was the glossy sides, I think its nice, but they complained that it gets dirty VERY easily, meh... I can clean it. Its cause under the 2 macro keys it can get dirty easily, meh.. dont eat around it. ( I probably will, ) There wasnt that many reviews about it failing.. well.. some. It was either a scrolling failure, mouse jumping around the screen.. etc. So anyone have this mouse, or does anybody recommend this mouse? should I or should I not get it for $60?

A lot of people swear by it. I bought one a few years back and I just couldn't get on with it. I didn't like anything about it. It felt wrong in my hand and when it broke down 2 weeks later, I just didn't care and threw it out (not sure why I didn't ask for refund though)

I recently bought a Steelseries Sensei and I hate this mouse too. I think the whole thing is a gimmick with terrible software. I might just dig out my old G9 and use that instead.

It's all preference I suppose. If you've tried the Deathadder and you like it, then why not. If you've got smallish hands you should consider the G9 too.

I've been using a Deathadder 3500DPI for over 2 years now. I'm very happy with it

I went with a G500, I just didn't like the way the Death Adder felt and I found the G500 for cheaper than the Death Adder. I think it all comes down to personal preference and I have always been a Logitech guy myself. I would highly recommend the G500, I have been nothing but happy with it over the last month but you can't really go wrong with either mouse.

I've been using mine for a year or so, love it, light, simple, and just what you want in a mouse ~$50. The main downside is the sides are plastic and are prone to built up dirt-_-. I find myself cleaning it few times a month (and I don't even eat at my comp!).

I had and loved my MS intellimouse, but switched to a G500, but couldn't stand it. The thumb buttons on the G500 were just too small and uncomfortable to press.

I switched the DA since it had wide thumb buttons, and haven't had a problem since.

Been using the DeathAdder for about 8 months now. It feels a tad too big and arches too high (I'm 6'ft, with average sized hands.) It's a borderline palm-grip mouse, but you can claw it for short gaming sessions. My main complaint about the glossy side plastics is lack of grip with sweaty hands. I have since realized that I prefer flatter low-profile claw grip mice like my old Diamondback.

Other than the ergonomics, I think it's a fine mouse. Tracking, accuracy, weight are all fine and I don't have any issues with the build quality.

Regarding the mouse jumping across the screen. It was an issue isolated to the 3500dpi setting(a setting most gamers don't even care to use because of it's height sensitivity) that was fixed with recent drivers. I've used the 3500 occasionally, and never experienced it jumping anywhere. But I don't use it exclusively so maybe it still happens occasionally.

Overall it's a great mouse, but coming from a g5(think this was the one, it had the quick-switch battery setting) wireless logitech, the mouse is a bit larger than I like. I'm used to clawing the mouse in order to 'throw' the mouse around the mousepad for quicker movements and the like, and the Deathadder is a tad to large for me to do the same.

Deathadder 3.5 G is a good solid mouse, I guess all the bugs have been fixed via firmware updates and the most important thing for you now is to see if it fits your hand well (that's usually the only thing people forget about after checking for LED lights, 3409430 dpi etc..)

With mice, it's about what you like. Technically speaking the DeathAdder is a great mouse, if you don't mind Razer's sometimes shoddy build quality. I'd go with Logitech - I've found out that their mice last longer and are generally less expensive.

I had a 3500DPI. It was okay, but I sold it, Because it forced me to fold my thumb into an uncomfortable position when gaming because I didn't want to hit the damn huge thumb buttons.
