Razer Diamondback problem

When I first plugged in my Razer Diamondback, I didn't install the driver and it worked fine. I mean, I could use the side buttons inside web browsers to scroll up and down and it accelerated up and down if I kept the buttons pressed.

I decided to install the driver, then the side buttons didn't work. I tried to assign the buttons to up and down on the keyboard, but if I hold the buttons, they don't continue to scroll up and down and they don't accelerate. I have to keep on clicking to move a web page up and down.

Is there a way I could fix this^ I mean, can unplugging it help^ I'd like to find a way to get it to the way it was before.

The reason you could use the right side buttons to scroll up and down with the drivers is because windows does not support 7 buttons. Razer just made the side buttons emulate the mouse wheel. I think you can bind to mouse wheel in drivers. However, with the diamondback, I would strongly recommend not using drivers. They add no functionality and cause a lot of headaches. On the fly sensitivity can easily be emulated by the games you are playing.

I don't know why, but I just got the functionality from the side button again.

Due to a virus from hell, I had to clear cmos and reset my darn BIOS settings. I mean, I took out the battery on the motherboard, and took off the CLRTC jumper and put it on some other pins for about 10 seconds then put in back in the original position.

Man, the work viruses can give you.
