I was expecting for you to say Samsung......Motorola has been very good about updates (unlike Samsung).
Just so you don't think I'm biased. Owner of Galaxy S/soon to be owner of S3.
Well I know that Samsung is usually very late (might have something to do with Verizon/service providers.
Either way, doesn't really bother me at all. I'm a extremely low end user anyways and miniscule differences between OS upgrades are hardly worth a thought (to me).
That's why I never would never consider rooting my phone. it does everything and anything I want AND some.....how much more spoiled can I possibly be?
Funny, 1.5 years ago when I was doing research on Galaxy S it was exactly the opposite.
Samsung = suckage on updates
Motorola = great
Maybe things have changed.
For whatever it's worth my phone was updated ONCE since I've owned (and again, it was fine before, wouldn't even care if they didn't update it).
As everyone else has already told you so far, your assumptions and statements are completely wrong.
They are wrong now, and they were even more wrong 1.5 years ago(despite your claim).
Samsung is the best of all the major Android manufacturers in providing updates to their phones.
They're better than HTC, LG, Motorola, and Sony by a mile.
The only company that Samsung isn't better than so far is Asus.
You mentioned that your phone was updated "ONCE" since you got it.
Consider yourself lucky. Many people that owned several Motorola phones never got
ANY update, period. Atrix, Droid X2, Droid 3, Photon, Electrify, and other high end dual core Motorola phones are not getting ICS updates.
Regardless of how many Samsung devices you claim to have or are going to get in the future to deflect possible questions, your bias is clearly showing because it doesn't match the facts out there.
It didn't match it 1.5 years ago, and it doesn't match it now.
