I just checked it out at Verizon/BJs. Looked pretty sweet, screen was nice.

It was a little thick though. It's a bit shorter than s3 and feels smaller.

It almost swayed my mind from S3, but I already have a Silicone case for S3 so will just go ahead with it. Plus Verizon now has a black one too.

They always do. And a little cheaper contract free as well. The only reason to go to a store is sometimes you can find unadvertised deals.

When the Droid finally started to slow down my local Verizon was giving them away but they didnt make a big deal about it. No ads, not even local, no signs at the store. You had to walk in and look for the device and see the little 0.00 sign next to it.

While I do make reasonable allowances for 'instant gratification', nuts to that. Why would I go to BB and but it for 800, when I go go about a block away and get it from 650 from a Verizon store?

Yup, my big Verizon store is a block closer than the Best Buy.

And my local Verizon store is right around the corner.

Something like that, yeah. Its not as long. But if you cancel within that range, it'll cost you a few hundred from Amazon plus 300 from Verizon. Its an expensive mistake to make, so be sure before you pull that trigger.

I stopped by the Verizon store today and played with the hd maxx and sgs3 for a minute. The new razr definitely has a slightly better screen than the previous version. I really like the way they made the phone, looks really nice.
I have to wait till nov 5th before I'm done with my contract, but not exactly sure if I really want to switch to Verizon. I also want to check out the galaxy note 2 before I decide on a phone. They said the n2 will be available by Thanksgiving.

I'm either going with the maxx hd, note 2, or sgs3.
Anyone wanting the maxx hd should be very happy, much better than the previous imo

For those of you seriously freaking out, the non-maxx has excellent battery life. You wouldnt be sacrificing much if you wanna save a hundred dollars.
