Computer Geeks has some those little remote RC cars for sale at $17.50 with a coupon on the site to knock them down to $12.50 a pop. Not bad for a mini remote control car

i thought about big cars, but since my big RC car costs about 400 dollars, the fun/cost ratio isnt quite as high.

I bought one like this from the mall and it wouldn't turn right straight from when I opened it. Is it worth the extra 10-15 to get an original Bit Charg G over a clone?

You can always go to RadioShack and buy a zipzap. I have a few of these and they are fun.

Yeah right, most Radio Shacks have a waiting list 100+ long for those.

I bought 4 Shen Qi Wei clones for my kids for XMas and just happened to snag the last Microsizer at the local hobby shop(US version of a Char Bit G) so I can compare them. Won't know anything until after XMas though.... There are higher quality clones like Shen Qi Wei and Panther (from what I have read), different size engines (1.0, 2.2, and 2.6), etc.. Go over to the tinyrc.com forums and read up for more information. I am going over to the local hardware store to grab a piece of formica and some self stick door moulding to make a cheap portable track (as recommended by the guy at the hobby shop).

If you're looking for a cheap alternative, I saw some of these at Walgreens in Fresno for $9.99. They were cheap knock-offs and not like the kind you can take apart, change parts on, etc... But I saw the same cheap kind selling in the mall for $18 bucks!

I got my daughter one of the microsizers for $30 at Toys R Us a couple of weeks ago. It's nice because you can take it apart and clean the axel if it gets hair or debris caught in it. Some of the cheaper ones don't come apart like that. Since we have a hardwood floor that is constantly littered with debris and dog hair, it made sense to get the one I could clean.

What makes the zip zaps so desirable? I know next to nothing about rc cars. My sister's boyfriend just took a job at a rat shack to become a manager and he had overheard that these zip zaps had a huge waiting list and that they were going for $1000 on Ebay (yeah.. right).

Anyway.. What makes them so desirable?

TIA,

Sal

They're pretty fun. People like small things? Like how something that looks exactly the same as its parent is somehow cute?

I'd just go to ebay. I got 4 bit-char g's for 69 total. These are the 3.0 engines from Japan.

What am I looking for exactly? You're speaking a foreign language to me. The only part that I got was Japan and $69.

Basically, what should I look for?

Thanks again.

Here you go

Make sure you get a "Tomy Bit Char G". All the rest are clones.
