Anyone got one? Anyone got suggestions on a good one for beginners? Looking for one that can stabilize itself and all that because... that shit is impossible on some of these shitty ones we've tried. Needs a gyro I guess.

Not looking to spend barrels of money either. :\ Electric is probably best...

I've got a few. Walkara LAMA 400, Walkara UflyS, and a CopterX 400SE. The latter is a work in progress.

If you know nothing about flying, definitely go with a fixed blade, coaxial model. The two blades counter-rotate, eliminating torque pull and the need for a tail rotor. Larger models tend to be more stable than smaller ones.

The LAMA 400 is a good place to start. $150. That gets you the heli, battery, transmitter, and all the electronics. No assembly needed. Fairly big, so it can be flown outside on calm days.

Check out Align Trex 250s or 450s on youtube. But start with a blade CP. helifreak is a great msg board. You need phoenix sim to practice first.

OP sounds like my customers at work.

"I want to buy this with all these great features and do all these great things.....but I don't want to spend more than a hundred bucks."

You shouldn't be wasting your time with silly hobbies if you don't have any money.

I'm talking no more than $200.

I'd assume for an electric, it could be possible.

I don't know what RC helicopters cost, but if you cannot afford a baller azz helicopter don't waste your time or money. Spend your time making that coin.

I've been flying helis for years and have flown, built and repaired just about everything out there.
If you can't fly this: http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=EFLH2400 then you need to stop and put your wallet away. My 4 year old picked this up and flew it.
It's so easy you'll be bored in no time. It is only for indoors flying and will teach you the basics.
After that I'd suggest a 450 size class heli. Don't bother with the little 250 class until you can fly. The 250 class is way too fast and twitchy for beginners.

Blade mcx2 is out and works quite well.

I have the Blade CX2 and it's amazing:

http://www.amazon.com/Blade-CX2-Elec...dp/B000JL723S/

I've flown airplanes since I was a kid, but have struggled with helis. The CX2 is pretty easy to learn - if you can fly the little cheapo $20 ones, you can fly a CX2 easy. Also, it's a larger heli, so if you're looking for something a bit bigger, it's nice.

The mCX2 looks pretty nifty!
