I'm running RC5 on my PIII 550 o/c 733. No problems here.

Um........I run RC5 24/7 and ICQ along w/that and during the day I run IE, AIM and Winamp and Napster and all that other good stuff. I am using a P233 Packard Bell w/32mb Ram and 1 fan that is not so top of the line. Yet my system was able to hold up completely stable for almost 2 weaks.

I guess you would have a hard time convincing me RC5 can hurt your computer THAT bad.

You must disable Rain to run rc5. It won't let the client run otherwise. I did so with no ill effect. One of my friends runs rc5 on a HP Pavilion K6-2 500 with no problems whatsoever.

BTW, for all you geeks out there, rc5 is a babe attractor. It will give you a reason to go out there and meet chicks. Just be careful that you don't catch a reall virus due to the unforeseen promiscuity that will undoubtedly ensue from your recruiting efforts.

HA I ran rc5 for 7 hours and my cel 533 @ 760 stayed up the whole time. That and when I stopped running it my cpu temp went from 107 to 98 within 2 minutes !!!!!!!!!! aint that something!!
