RC5 Race Page?

Is anyone maintaining a "RACE" page for RC5 that contains the racers heading for each milestone?

I think LeBlatt or someone had one that was pretty slick, with news updates and all, and I was just wondering if it was still around. if not, it might be worth resurecting, as there are a number of racers heading for 100K, and there may be more. it would be nice to track how they are doing on a daily basis..

Hmmm, might be something for the team page too.

Hey BK,

I guess I lost our last race that was to 200k, think it was around last september. Problem is I have not yet posted 100k for any particular team yet, so my numbers are everywhere. I have about 68k for tacube now and about 235k total since I started. Anyway 400k is a long ways off so i have to find me a racing buddy under 100k. There some pretty good challenges just to stay in the top ten at the cube

This could be an interesting race. I'm not going to bother calculating it, but I'm 'round 380k, and you're 40k behind. But, you're also a lot faster .

Unfortunately the race page was discontinued because it took quite some time to manually retrieve individual data. That was the only part I could not automate, but enough to take too much time.
I hope to be able to make a fully functionnal and distributable ASP version.

I'll beat on it a little bit and see what I can come up with. I already have a stats puller that dumps into a database .. so it's just modifying that and htmlizing ... Gimie a week or so and I should have a beta ready ... and I'll take comment/suggestions after that.

AND .. while tinkering with the code .. I found an easy way to log the difference between Mika's and Dnet's stats so we can have a visual display if we start getting nasty block lossage like before.

Well, I'm not a programmer, but if we need to create a stats box or something I may be able to help with hardware donation for it.

Fortunately, I just happen to run an isp, and have all sorts of neeto groovy hardware to support it. There is very little load for this type of thing though ... probably a whole 10 seconds to update the whole thing a few times an evening (depending on when dnet stats are run)

As an FYI to everyone, it may be very possible to add this feature to TA.com, once we go DB on the stats. Put something in the "features" thread, and we'll see where Mika and IHYLN can take it.
