It's apparently a 180music gift-card, with a bonus (free) RCA 512MB mp3 player in the package.

The card is a 1yr deal giving you 15 songs per month for 12 months.
NO DRM!! -- but it's emusic, so the selection isn't great

My Circuit City in Tacoma WA had a rack full of them, with the shelf tag of $32.xx
HERE, except only 5 dollars

It rang up at $4.99 + .01 = $5.00 even

It's been at fw for a couple days, so good luck. my store had TONS.

sweet, i'm gonna buy it just for the 180 songs for $5, it may get some use as my running unit, since i do get rather nervous running with my archos even though i'm light footed

I hope CC has a few, i may just pick up a few xmas gifts today.

You have to buy instore and the cashier has to hit some option for the "combo" deal to come up.

I missed CC yesterday,first CC was sold out but the rep said all the others in the city still have it, i got to the second one as they were closing, damn line in staples was insane and they refused to open more registers, i couldn't let a 400Gb mybook for 50 bucks get away so i waited. I'm so happy i have the next 2 days off i'm scouring the city for them today, i'll be there as the doors open...

Any good reviews on this unit. Looking around it seems decent. My kids rca lyra unit has been pretty good with 20+hrs battery time and an sd slot with clear sound. The reviews I see say it seems to have good sound quality and between 5-15 hrs battery. A few failures mentioned and of course emusic sucks. Anyone with more info please kick in.

Well my store confirmed price and avaiability. Then when I got there nothing......... Finally I got a manager to tell me it was a pricing mistake and they were OOS. What do you have to do before you drive down. Make them go out and get it in their sticky little hands then shove it down their pants till you get there. Not been impressed with CC for awhile now. This didn't help. I told the manager I was approved by this store to buy the $5 MP3 player. I'm here and here is my $5. Now which one am I walking out with? I let it go but I was going to just lay the money down, pick one and leave but I let it go.
At least the other store I called just admitted they didn't know what I was talking about.

sucks, some CC managers are jerks, they probably scooped them up before you got there, never call ahead on a deal half the time the employees don't even know. you're better off going to the first store if they don't have it have someone check regional inventory on the spot, don't call the next store and tell them about the deal, deals mysteriously disappear from almost every store when you call before you go.

Anyway i picked up 12 today, $65 well spent, heh, now i can spend all my xmas money on me, no one will suspect i bought these things for $5 a pop.
