There don't appear to be many reviews out there since the camera is relatively new. Most seem pretty positive except, like most cameras, it eats batteries. Unfortunately it comes with non-rechargeables. You can turn the 1.8" LCD off though which saves juice.

I too would like to see a substantive review. I bet RCA has some camera manufacturer putting this together for them. However, this has to be one of the best deals going right now for a 2 megapixel camera with an 3x optical zoom. Also looks very nice, uses standard AA size batteries, and agree that not having to hassle with @#$% rebates and price-matching nonsense is attractive too...

Yeah, the specs are good, but the dimensions are: 5.4" W x 3.3" H x 2.4" D. A bit bulky if your ask me...

I went to a local Atlanta suburban OM B&M to check it out. It is weird compared to the usual brands but as they only had a few left I couldn't resist and bought one. I guess I need to look the $25.00 coupon (hint ? ) somewhere and buy it through the OM website.

damn it's now sold out online. that sucks. I called them and they said the only way to buy it would be from b&m. Too bad you can't use the coupon for b&m.

Deadparrot- Thanks for the offer but I found a clickthrough 1st timer link for -$25 prior to reading your post and ordered one to be delivered 12-5. I'll return the one I bought to he nearby O&M. I 'm buying this one for "insurance" as this camera appears sort of iffy (maybe POS). I'd rather have the Kodak DC5000 and after seeing how fast digital camera prices are dropping I expect them to be at or below my $ 200.00 w/s&H price target before the year end.

Caution for those who are thinking of buying this, the online manual from RCA site states that it's "2.3 megapixel, Interpolated" The last digicam with 1mpixel interpolated resolution took pictures worst than my webcam.

I have seen this cam in OM store. I'm not impressed with it. It is bulky and made of cheap plastic. The fit and finish are poor. The low quality built just turns me off. There are plenty of deals for digicam, especially since high pixels ones are coming out now. Just my 2 cents.

BTW, OM sometimes have great clearance prices on cams. I bought Kodak DC280 and Sony FD-73 for half prices of other retailers.

I agree with with the previous statements questioning interpeted quality and am getting " buyers remorse already" . Anyone who bought it have a feel or it yet ? What do you think ?
