I need to free up some licenses on one of our netware servers by using rconsole.
I am fairly new to using it so please bare with me.

I ran rconsole.exe of my windows box and connected to the correct server and logged in. seems fine.

But it puts me at a DOS like screen that shows that I have just connected and above that it indicates , asit should that it is out of licenses.

Now here is the problem. On our in house server to change screen I just hit ALT and Esc and I can cycle thru about 6 screen to manage things. But on this client rconsole thing I cannot. How do I get to the proper screen? God I feel dumb.

I should be able to clear the licenses myself, I just cant change the darn screen. lol

Alt-F1 will bring up a menu with a number of options, one being to switch screens. If the module you need to use is not running, you'll need to load that at the command prompt, i.e., load servman

Hmm Alt-F1 does bring up an options screen but I dont see how to navigate to any place with admin tools for clearing licenses.

Perhaps there is anotehr method?

You need to run the proper NLM to get to where you want do be. Do you just want to clear connections? (this will disconnect users from the server) To do that, do a load monitor and scroll up and down the user screen and hit DEL on the people you want to zap. If you want to add licenses to your server, you can't without installing a license disk. ( load install ) and choose "add licenses" from the menu.

No no.. We have 25 licenses, but for some reason some get stuck "in use" when they really are not. So you have to clear them every once and awhile because users will not be able to log in.
