I'm a home-office based worker. If I'm not with customers, I'm on my company laptop most of the day with an active VPN connecton to work. I also usually have an RDC session open to my personal PC.... it's on the other side of the house from my office, and is just easier to RDC than walking upstairs when I'm goofing on non-company approved sites.
I've always assumed that, since RDC is just a graphics-redirect, and network communication is being initiated by a PC that's not on the VPN, that my company wouldn't see the remote browsing.... but I figure someone here will know for sure. I'm not surfing for porn or anything like that, but there are plenty of sites that are borderline (or not so borderline) SFW.
Any thoughts are appreciated.
