amazon has not had a profitable quarter, accounting of course can get away with telling the investors they profit by saying certain charges are *one-time* or *restructing* and pretending they don't have anything to do with normal operations when the bottom line is, they are profiting from operations

its like saying enron has been profitable all this time... once you ignore *special charges*

its like back when Yahoo! was actually "making money" when practically all the *profits* were coming from interest earning from the money they had just sitting in the bank. that is not profits from operations. now Yahoo! is posting losses again because its operations cost WAY more than the interest coming off of that several billion dollars they have in the bank. Yahoo! was lucky enuff to get so much VC in the beginning, they probably will never run out of money, much like amazon, while others died, compost.com style, i mean outpost

This really sucks, I just got my dazzle reader today from Dell (it was backordered), only to find out that the rebate has been pulled early.

If anyone finds out more about that rebate - including any ideas on exactly how to "raise hell" about it (should we complain to rebateshq, or another source?), please share your ideas!

Probably will return the reader to Dell if the rebate is gone.

Well, I just got off the phone with these people. They have a record of the offer, but she claims they do not have the form anymore. She said that we can still get our rebate. She said to send them your name, address, phone number, the UPC and a copy of the receipt. Mail it to:

Dazzle SCM $20 Rebate
Po Box 9710
McAllen TX 78502

She said to include a note explaining that you did not have the coupon. Also, include the promotion code: 01-45025.

Getting mine together tonight. Oh, and the service person's name who gave all of us this advice is Maureen, so be sure to call them back when we are turned down! <g>

IS the zip 78502 or 78501? On the rebate form that expires feb 28 (people are saying this one extends though until may 31?) the zip is 78501.

i'll probably just call the rebate place myself to make sure

I just talked to a representative, and here's what I was told:

So this confirms the previous post that the zip is 78502, NOT 78501 as is on a previous Dazzle rebate form.

BUT i'm still not sure about whether or not they'll honor it because the product from Dell has a different UPC from the previous rebate.

Thanks for your info. I got my BVG from Amex for about $18.00 and now I checked RebatesHQ and they show my rebate is VALID and being processed. Thanks to you! I really didn't think I'd get it, but I figured I'd try. Boy am I happy. That makes it FREE!

Someone said they were told the new Rebate was good until 6/30. Can anyone confirm this? This is the BEST (fastest) CF reader as tested by PC Magazine this month! I need one for my new camera!

Tis true... It was extended. I got my rebate back from them very quickly! I don't know about fast, it is pretty slow to me, but then again, I am running on USB 1.0.

My submission to RebatesHq was denied, but I was told by a Dazzle CSR to call her if I had problems. I did, she e-mailed Parago/RebatesHQ and authorized my rebate directly. Way to go, Dazzle!
